Sean Hannity on ‘good terms’ with ex-wife despite divorce and new engagement
Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Ainsley Earhardt announced their engagement following a Christmas Day proposal at their Florida church.
The network personalities confirmed their engagement to Fox News in a joint statement, noting they maintained positive relationships with their former spouses.
“We actually made them aware this was happening ahead of time,” the couple said, noting they “still get along well.”
Hannity, 62, was previously married to Jill Rhodes for over two decades before their 2019 divorce.
The couple met in 1991 while Hannity worked at WVNN radio in Huntsville, Alabama, where Rhodes was a political columnist for The Huntsville Times.
During their marriage, they had two children: Patrick, born in 1998, and Merri, born in 2001.
Both attended Cold Spring Harbor High School in New York, with Patrick later attending Wake Forest University and Merri enrolling at the University of Michigan.
Earhardt, 47, brings two previous marriages to the relationship.
Her first marriage to Kevin McKinney lasted from 2005 to 2009.
She later married former Clemson University quarterback Will Proctor in 2012, with whom she shares a daughter, Hayden.
Their marriage ended in 2019 following divorce proceedings initiated by Proctor.
Proctor denied allegations of infidelity at the time, telling Page Six, “There is not one ounce of truth to the allegations that I had an affair. I am disappointed that this private matter has become public.”
