Country queen Reba McEntire is known for a lot of things, one of which being her ability to put out some seriously addicting songs about girl power. If you grew up listening to Reba, you might just know a few of the empowering songs on this list by heart. These four tracks are just a few of our favorites!

1. “I’m A Survivor”

“I’m A Survivor” is by far one of Reba McEntire’s most recognizable girl power songs. In fact, this song is probably her most well-known piece of work, period. This 2001 country-pop hit was the opening theme of the superstar’s long-running sitcom series, Reba.

It’s been turned into a meme multiple times through the years, and it’s the kind of tune that you can’t help but sing along to. Especially if you’re a single mom who works two jobs.

2. “Is There Life Out There”

For My Broken Heart is one of Reba McEntire’s very best albums, and it also features one of her sassiest girl power songs, too. The 1991 track “Is There Life Out There” is as memorable for its subject matter as it is for its iconic music video. If you were a 90s kid who grew up around country music, this song probably gives you a dose of nostalgia every time it comes on the air.

3. “Walk On”

This fantastic Top 10 hit was a pretty big deal for Reba back in 1989, as well as her younger female fans at the time. “Walk On” is loaded with heartbreak and hope, with Reba’s stellar vocals at the forefront telling her listeners that a broken heart will never last forever. Reba’s vocal prowess was on another level during this particular era of her career.

4. “Climb That Mountain High”

If you were an avid country fan before Reba’s famed sitcom kicked off, you might remember how much of a big deal “Climb That Mountain High” was when it was first released in 1990. This addicting tune was the opening theme for the relatively short-lived TV series Delta.

Honestly, the whole of Reba’s iconic Rumor Has It album boasts a tone of memorable hits, from “You Lie” to the iconic “Fancy”.
