Paddy Pimblett once revealed the one piece of advice Mike Tyson gave to him that he ‘won’t ever forget’.
Pimblett scored the biggest win of his budding MMA career when he defeated Michael Chandler at UFC 314.
He stopped Chandler in the third round of their lightweight clash in Miami, earning a huge spot in the official UFC rankings.
‘The Baddy’ has now won seven UFC fights in a row since joining the MMA leaders from Cage Warriors, beating the likes of Tony Ferguson, King Green and the aforementioned Chandler.
He’s destined to enjoy a superstar career as his star power continues to grow following his latest victory inside the famed Octagon.
Despite his popularity growing, he won’t allow people to take advantage of him.
That’s based on the advice Tyson gave to him when they linked up to film an episode of the boxing legend’s podcast.

In a shoot with British GQ, where he answered the internet’s questions, Pimblett was asked if he tried Tyson’s weed.
The Liverpool fighter replied: “Of course. We went in the back and smoked a blunt together. He’s a cool dude.”
He added: “Mike spoke to me about a few different things and one of the main things he said to me is, ‘don’t let people take advantage of you’.
“Like what happened to him in his fighting career. That was something he said to me that I won’t ever forget.”

Having recorded the biggest victory of his career, Pimblett is in line for a huge next fight, which could land him a shot at UFC gold.
He’s eyeing a fight in Abu Dhabi in October.

“Whoever that one person is that will get me a title shot, I want that fight.
“My plan even before the fight was to fight in Abu Dhabi in October.
“I’ve always wanted to fight there. The UFC always do a pay-per-view there in October.

“I just think it would be the perfect time to come back. Recharge my batteries over the summer, keep training every day, keep the weight down, and then go right back into camp in August or September.”
