The former American pro took to her Instagram on Monday, January 6, to share a video of herself. She can be seen in a tennis outfit, wearing a black top and a neon-green skirt.

Completing her look are the neon-green sneakers. Her outfit boasts the Nike logo as Williams can be seen near a tennis court.

In the video, the tennis great depicted immense athletic skills and was seen jumping and clicking her heels.

Captioning the video, she wrote, “Jumping into the new year like,” highlighting that she is equally fit as her playing days, despite bidding adieu to the sport officially.

Now, this has led to enormous excitement amongst the fans, with many asking Williams to already announce her comeback and dazzle the courts yet again.

Several users took to their social media, lauding the grit of the 41-year-old. Expressing their joy over Serena Williams’ video, fans shared their admiration for her, highlighting how the sport is not the same anymore without her.

Fans demand Serena Williams’ return to tennis

Taking to Instagram, one user wrote, “Serena!!! Please!!! Stop teasing us and just come back!! (3x fire emoji).” 

Remember, Serena Williams has often sparked discussions about a potential comeback to tennis. One such example was witnessed in May this year, when the star player took to her X account and wrote, “I’m ready to hit some balls again.” 

This made many believe that Williams would return to action and mesmerize her fans yet again. Meanwhile, more such reactions continued to follow in her latest video.

Responding to the video, another user commented, “WTA (Williams Tennis Association) is not the same without you! There’s no one you can’t beat in today’s WTA Tour. Please Come Back,” signifying WTA is synonymous with Serena Williams.

The Queen of the Court earned her nickname after she brought a long list of grand slams under her name.

Her impressive career, which lasted almost three decades, gave her 23 Slam titles besides the Gold Medal at the Olympics.

In July, the former American player engaged in an interaction with Vanity Fair. When quizzed if she could still make a comeback, the star player said, “I think as long as I’m healthy, that’s always going to be in the back, back, back, back, back, back, back of my mind.” 

This led to wild reactions from fans with several people demanding her to return to action.

Notably, Wimbledon is remembered as one of the best venues for Williams. Besides winning 7 titles on the surface in the singles category, she won 6 doubles titles and one mixed doubles title.
