‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Vanna White ‘Scared’ Of Ryan Seacrest?
Is Wheel of Fortune co-host, Vanna White “scared” of Pat Sajak’s replacement and new host, Ryan Seacrest? More so, why would she feel that way toward the new frontman of the popular game show? He will take over starting this September 9th, 2024 so has Vanna changed her feelings about him? Keep reading for more details.
Wheel Of Fortune Vanna White ‘Scared’ Of Ryan Seacrest?
When Pat Sajak announced he was leaving Wheel of Fortune, many wondered where his longtime co-host, Vanna White would fit in. Would she exit with him or would she take over as the host of the game show? There were many factors to think about but Vanna also had a contract that needed a lot of work. She was making a lot less than Pat and had not gotten a raise in almost two decades. So, all of that had to be sorted before any decisions could be made. Eventually, she signed a contract to carry her into 2026 and Ryan Seacrest was named the new host.

Some were skeptical about him taking over the job but he has more than enough experience. He has hosted American Idol since the beginning, has his own radio show, hosts Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and was a co-host on Live! With Kelly for several years. Therefore, Ryan knows what he is doing but change is not easy, just look at Jeopardy! and what Ken Jennings initially went through. Yet, is Vanna actually “scared” of Ryan? According to Deadline, she was at first.
After having worked with Pat Sajak for over forty years, Vanna White was nervous about the chemistry she and Ryan would have. Would they even have any?
“I had no idea what to expect when I’m used to one person for so long. I was very scared, but he’s doing a great job.”
She went on to note that while they’ve known each other for years, traveling with Ryan has helped them a lot:
“I’ve known Ryan for probably 20 years, but in the past couple of months we’ve done some traveling together for the show and we got to know each other a little better too, so I think our chemistry is good.”
Getting Warmed Up
Just like Vanna White, Wheel of Fortune fans are getting warmed up to the idea of having Ryan Seacrest host. In the latest post counting down the days until he starts, there was a lot of positive feedback:
Ryan, I went to a few of the tapings and let me just say, you did an excellent job! Your chemistry with vanna white is great! Look forward to the new season!
Ooh exciting. Can’t wait to see you spin the wheel!
Ryan, I am so excited!! The chemistry between you and Vanna is just incredible
You got this Ryan , like everything else you do .. So glad it’s you replacing Pat Sajak !!!
Hopefully, viewers will come to love Ryan just as much as they did Pat Sajak, maybe even more. Are you looking forward to seeing the chemistry between him and Vanna? Let us know in the comments below.
