Wheel Of Fortune fans have not been shy about bringing attention to all of the things that they don’t like since Ryan Seacrest took over from Pat Sajak. Recently, commenters went after the new host for what they see as a “boring” change to the show. So, what did viewers have to say?
Wheel Of Fortune Fans Have Nitpicked The New Ryan Seacrest Era
Even before Ryan Seacrest even got on the Wheel Of Fortune set, he was a target among show fans. Since the moment he was announced as Pat Sajak’s successor, he has been under fire, and under a huge microscope the entire time. While Pat came back for a “final spin” as part of the celebrity edition of the game, the vast majority of fans still wish he would return fully.
Because Wheel Of Fortune is in the Ryan Seacrest era, this also means that fans have not been shy about voicing their opinions whenever they notice Ryan doing something differently from the way that Pat did, and watchers called out another instance of this not too long ago.

Viewers Call Out ‘Boring’ Change To Show In Ryan Seacrest Era
Without question, no one can deny that no matter who stepped in to take over at Wheel Of Fortune, they were going to be met with all sorts of backlash and scrutiny. Pat Sajak hosted the popular game show for decades, and generations of viewers grew accustomed to how he did things over the years.
One of the show elements that Wheel Of Fortune fans called out recently is the longer contestant introductions. While some people enjoy learning about the contestants on the show, the way a lot of people see it, they run a little too long now. Some player introductions can run as much as 6-7 minutes, which ends up being a significant chunk of the show’s airtime.

One commenter recently said: “The main reason I record the show—so I can fast forward through all the intros. So boring. I watch to solve puzzles, not hear about your collection of cow pies or how many kids you have with “J” names.”
A second person added: “Definitely longer now, approaching Jeopardy level of nonsense spewed about each contestant. I just showed my fiance a Pat episode from 2007 to show him how quick they used to be haha.”
A third person said: “Glad I’m Not the only one who thought so.. used to be about 30 second max for each one.”
Another person piled on, saying: “I have noticed this as well, it was usually a fun fact and a shout out to a family member. Now it’s 1 fun fact and 2 minute conversation with Ryan.”
