Indiana Fever Head Coach Is Pissed Off Over WNBA Refs’ Blatantly “Disrespectful” Moment Towards Caitlin Clark

Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White has criticized the officials who took charge of Saturday’s game between her team and the New York Liberty.
The contest would end in controversy as Caitlin Clark got stripped on a play that could have sent the game to overtime had she been able to pull the trigger on a shot. Instead, she turned the ball over, and Indiana lost 90-88.Clark was visibly upset at the no-call and had something to say to the refs immediately after the game. Her coach also had some words for the officials, claiming her team was disrespected as she thought there was a foul.

“I thought she got fouled. I think it’s pretty egregious what’s been happening to us the last few games,” White remarked, per FOX News. “The disrespect right now for our team has been pretty unbelievable. So, it’s disappointing, you know, that it doesn’t go both ways, or it hasn’t gone both ways.”

The HC confessed that the WNBA makes provisions for official complaints from teams but said she wasn’t sure it actually made a difference.

“There’s a system to making sure that we can send stuff in and communicate our grievances, so to speak. I don’t know if I have a feeling that the system works,” she added.

Caitlin Clark Didn’t Have Much To Say About The No-Call

While Caitlin Clark remonstrated in the aftermath of the loss, she refused to discuss the final play with reporters.

“I don’t know. I have to go back and watch,” she said.

Some fans felt the Fever were robbed and called for the referees to be investigated, while others didn’t think Clark was fouled.
The 2-2 Fever will feel like they’ve had several controversial decisions go against them since the season started.They now have a difficult period to navigate, with Clark set to be out for at least four games due to injury.
