Phil Robertson Remembered In First Episode Of Duck Dynasty: The Revival

Exactly one week after Phil Robertson passed away, he was honored with a special tribute in the debut episode of Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

Phil’s sons, Al and Jase, shared in December that Phil had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and a blood disorder. They kept fans updated on his health over the next few months.

On a May 19 episode of their dad’s podcast, Unashamed, Jase and Al shared their belief that Phil was “getting ready for the journey to the other side.”

Phil Robertson Remembered In First Episode Of Duck Dynasty: The Revival

Exactly one week after Phil Robertson passed away, he was honored with a special tribute in the debut episode of Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

Phil’s sons, Al and Jase, shared in December that Phil had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and a blood disorder. They kept fans updated on his health over the next few months.

On a May 19 episode of their dad’s podcast, Unashamed, Jase and Al shared their belief that Phil was “getting ready for the journey to the other side.”

Phil Robertson passed away on Sunday, May 25, at the age of 79. His death sparked heartfelt tributes from his friends and family members, including his brother, Si.

Appearing on the Duck Call Room podcast shortly after Phil’s passing, Si said:

“My brother has left this earth. The fleshly tent he was in, it wasn’t in good shape. His back was broke. He didn’t have a quality of life. And I am thankful the Almighty called him home. He’s happy because he’s with the Creator right now. These are not tears of sadness. These are tears of joy. These are tears of victory.”

Phil was laid to rest during a private family ceremony on May 29. A few days later, the new Duck Dynasty series, Duck Dynasty: The Revival, premiered on A&E.

Season 1 of the series finished filming before Phil died. Therefore, the season does not address his death.

However, the premiere still had time to include a short and sweet tribute to the Robertson family patriarch. At the end of the episode, Phil’s son Willie can be seen reading something from his laptop in the living room, which was decorated for Christmas at the time.

“So, ladies and gentlemen, start your engines,” Willie says. “Only one will earn the bandana, so let the games begin. What do you think, Phil?”

The camera moves to show Phil, who offers Willie a “thumbs up” in response. Willie laughs and says, “Ah, that was awesome!” as the screen fades to black. Then, a photo of Phil appears alongside the text, “In Memoriam, Phil Robertson, 1946-2025.”

Duck Dynasty: The Revival airs on A&E every Sunday evening. Fans can watch the show on the A&E TV channel or through the A&E app with their TV provider.

The show is also available to watch on Hulu (with a live subscription) and Pluto TV. You can also purchase individual episodes for $2.99 on Amazon Prime Video or buy access to the entire season for $19.99.

Duck Dynasty: The Revival primarily focuses on Willie and Korie Robertson, their now-adult children, and their grandchildren. The series will feature special appearances from other beloved family members, such as Miss Kay and Uncle Si.
