As press secretary, Leavitt has stood firmly behind Trump’s directive to bring government workers back to D.C. offices. She pointed out that only 6% of federal employees in Washington are working full-time from the office — despite millions being spent on “beautiful but empty buildings.”
“The American taxpayers fund this government. They deserve representatives who actually show up.”
Leavitt also backed Trump’s buyout offer — letting employees resign with full pay and benefits through September if they don’t want to return.
