Jelly Roll and his wife Bunnie Xo experienced a bit of a fail when they test drove a Lamborghini — they couldn’t figure out how to drive it! The “American Idol” season 23 artist-in-residence joked that they “don’t deserve money.”
Jelly Roll & Bunnie Xo Can’t Figure Out How to Drive a Lambo
On June 6, Jelly Roll took to Instagram to share a video of himself and his wife about to test drive a Lamborghini. They joked that they were stuck at the dealership because they couldn’t figure out how to put it in drive.
Bunnie commented, “Our first time driving a Lamborghini and we don’t know how to drive it.”
“We don’t deserve money, y’all,” Jelly Roll joked. “We are stuck in reverse in front of a Lamborghini dealership.”
He continued, “Bunnie woke up this morning and decided she wanted a Lambo … [expletive] proud of you, girl. I was like, ‘Let’s go to the Lamborghini dealership.’ I was excited, because I’ve never driven a Lambo either.”
They found themselves stuck, but a salesman came to their rescue. Bunnie asked, “How do we put it in drive?”
Once they got it sorted, Bunnie told her husband, “Alright, let her rip, daddy!”
This isn’t their first time confused by a new car, it seems. They shared that they had a similar challenge with a Mercedes G Wagon.
Jelly Roll & Wife Say They’re ‘Poor Kids at Heart’
In a video Bunnie posted on TikTok, Jelly Roll explained, “In true husband and wife fashion … this is my wife’s car, possibly, and she made me drive it first. Now, mama’s driving it.”
She noted, “I’m nervous. I’ve never driven a Lamborghini before.”
Bunnie asked him if she looked like a mom driving it and he joked, “Yeah, you look like a mom in your quarter million dollar Lambo.”
“This is my push present that I’m not pushing out … this is my egg retrieval present,” Bunnie quipped.
Jelly Roll noted, “I want y’all to know we’re poor kids at heart, y’all. So we’re still reconciling.”
The singer shared in the comments, “We should post more ‘we don’t deserve money’ moments lol.” Bunnie responded, “We have them every day.”
One fan focused on Jelly Roll saying, “Bunnie woke up this morning and decided she wanted a Lambo.” She clarified, “Yes, one she’s buying herself w her own money — he just came for emotional support.”
Many fans pointed out how humble Jelly Roll and Bunnie are. “Nothing makes me feel better or good than to see somebody come from the very bottom and make it to the top and still be humble,” they noted.
