Luke Bryan recently pulled off an incredible surprise when he reunited a military husband and his wife during the kick-off weekend of his Country On Tour.
On Friday, June 16, the country star hit the stage in Darien Center, N.Y for what started off as a normal show. However, in the midst of his set, he began calling out to a fan in the crowd named Shannon. While looking out into the sea of people, he points to one woman in particular and calls her up on stage.
As the excited fan makes her way to Bryan’s side, he explained, “Shannon’s husband has been fighting overseas for a couple of years and I want to get her to help me.”

The pair shared a hug before Bryan went on to deliver the opening lines of his patriotic fan-favorite, “Country On.” With tears of joy in her eyes, Shannon was still unaware of the surprise that was about to unfold before her. Then suddenly, her husband made his way onto the stage wearing his Military uniform.
A Heartwarming Moment
The lovebirds embraced as Bryan strummed his guitar and the crowd cheered in excitement.

“Country On” marks Luke’s 30th No. 1 single, which closed out the 2022 charts as the final No. 1 of the year. This was followed by the release of his new single, “But I Got A Beer In My Hand,” a party anthem that raced its way up the charts, earning the Top 25 spot.
Written by Chase McGill, Matt Dragstrem, and Geoff Warburton, and produced by Jeff Stevens and co-produced by Jody Stevens, the song gives fans a taste of a highly anticipated forthcoming album from Bryan.
From the moment the guitar riff intensifies and the drum beats grow louder in the chorus, the listener gets an earful of an upbeat, carefree sound that was made for a window’s down drive in the warm weather.
He sings, “But I got a beer in my hand, and I got it raised up high / I ain’t got a give in my damn right, I can do this all night / Country done came to town, this town don’t stand a chance / I’ll holler at the ladies, dancing like crazy, new Luccheses, fresh up out the deer stand / Feeling this high, wasn’t part of my plan / Wasn’t even gonna try / But I got a beer in my hand.”
