Now that wrestling champion George “Tyrus” Murdoch is out of the ring, he is focused on his family.
The WWE alum and his wife, Ingrid Murdoch, have one child together, a daughter named Georgie, whom they welcomed in 2014. Tyrus also has three children from previous relationships, two daughters and a son. He is also involved in the lives of Murdoch’s two older sons, Rhett and Rock.
In 2024, Tyrus shared on The Sage Steele Show that his three oldest children, all born in 2011, have three different mothers.
“The reality of having children in that way is that you need to figure it out real quick, and you need to make a decision as to where you’re gonna man up and take on this responsibility,” Tyrus said, adding, “Now, all my children’s bellies are always full, they all have roofs over their heads, they all can [do] any activity they want to do.”
Who Is Tyrus’ Wife? All About Ingrid Murdoch
In his 2023 book Nuff Said, Tyrus wrote that he keeps his life with his kids private, but he still believes in sharing his parenting values, the first of which is respect.
“Parenting is tough. We all know that. I always work hard to be the best dad I can be, but, of course, I fail sometimes,” he wrote. “We all do. But we try as hard as we can.”
Here’s everything to know about Tyrus’ children.

Tyrus and his wife, Ingrid, welcomed their daughter, Georgie Rose, on May 7, 2014.
She was named after her dad, a nod that Ingrid talked about in a 2024 Instagram tribute. “Who would have thought that the one that carries on the fathers [sic] name would be a daughter #murdoch #georgiegirl,” she wrote.
Georgie was raised in her mom’s home state of Louisiana until the family moved to New Jersey in 2024.

In addition to Georgie, Ingrid has two children from a previous marriage, sons Rhett and Rock, while Tyrus has three children from three previous relationships.
Tyrus’ three oldest kids all turned 13 in 2024. His son, whom he calls Kakerot on Instagram, was born on Aug. 24, 2011, while his daughters were born in June and December of the same year.
The Fox News host usually likes to remain private about his children’s lives and shared on The Sage Steele Show that he doesn’t write about his kids in his books “because that’s a story for them to tell.”
While they joke about their similar ages now, Tyrus knows they may have “questions” and “angers” later on, which is when he’ll explain, “I didn’t have parenting, which is not an excuse, I made my own choices, but I didn’t have wisdom to fall back on and I was impulsive.”
The Nuff Said author said he regularly visits his children and has acknowledged that saying goodbye is difficult.
“Being a real father with no reference is one of the toughest challenges and greatest rewards,” he captioned a 2021 Instagram selfie with two of his older kids. “To all my fellow dads out there who don’t get to see your kids everyday. Dropping them off is the hardest thing in the world. I’m fighting back tears because I miss them all my children.”
They are athletic like their dad

Tyrus’ daughter Georgie began riding seriously with her horse, Roosevelt — nicknamed Teddy — in 2024.
“The biggest best part is her commitment to detail, determination, and dedication to her horse … as a father couldn’t be prouder and also sad my lil baby girl is growing up to be a strong young woman!!!! So proud so proud !!!!” Tyrus wrote on Instagram in August of that year.
Georgie took part in her first competition in June and won. In her first show jumping with Teddy in Vermont a few weeks later, she came in second, “which made her furious,” as Tyrus said on The Sage Steele Show.
She also plays soccer and was sidelined with a broken radius in October 2024. Ingrid shared on Instagram, though, that Georgie still “#finishedthegame.”
The sporty gene was passed down to Tyrus’ other children as well. His son plays travel baseball and Tyrus has also shared photos of an outing with one of his daughters and his son at Top Golf Orlando.
They help raise the family’s farm animals

The Murdoch family relocated to a farm in northern New Jersey in the spring of 2024, and the whole crew helps raise the family’s pets on what Tyrus playfully refers to as “Tyrus-zilla Zoo.”
Before the move, Ingrid enlisted her kids to help raise the animals, which include exotic fish, turtles, snakes, lizards and chameleons. She told Fox News in 2023 that Georgie bathed and played with the animals, while Rhett did the “heavy lifting” and “dirty work,” and Rhett’s girlfriend, Julia, helped keep the tanks and cages clean.
Animals were also a big part of the family’s life when they lived in Louisiana. For Halloween 2023, Georgie set up a “spooky petting zoo” at their home in Mandeville, which Ingrid wrote on Instagram “was a success.”
They’ve joined their dad for events
Tyrus is a Fox News commentator and touring stand-up comedian, and he doesn’t shy away from bringing his kids to the office — wherever that may be.
Tyrus has also shared on-set photos with his family, including Ingrid and Georgie visiting him in 2022 and two of his older kids testing out mics in 2021.
At home, however, Tyrus has a rule that he puts his “dad hat” on.
“Tyrus is not available [at home]. So, that’s our deal,” he shared on The Sage Steele Show. “When I’m Tyrus-ing, they [don’t care]. But when I’m with them, it’s supposed to be all about them.”
Tyrus retired from wrestling to be more present in his children’s lives

The Massachusetts-born wrestler didn’t reduce his schedule and ultimately retire in 2023 because there was something wrong physically — in fact, he was “having fun and feeling great” — but because he was missing games and horseback riding events.
“I went to my children and I said, ‘Is it better for me to be at the games or do you want Dad to still wrestle and the belt and you guys go to the shows and all that stuff?’ And my kids looked me dead in the face and said, ‘No, we want you at the games,’ ” he recalled on The Sage Steele Show.
Tyrus has said he’ll always “be there” for his children

During a 2024 appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Tyrus joined a panel discussing children and puberty blockers in the United Kingdom.
After Tyrus shared his views on the drug options, he also shared that one of his children is “in the LGBT community” and specifically is “trans.”
“As she’s growing [and going through therapy], we’ll see where she’s at and what she wants to do,” he said. “Whatever she wants at the end of the day, when she’s old enough to make that decision, I’ll be there with her. Or him. Or they. Or whatever my child wants to be.”

When Steele asked Tyrus what makes him proudest as a dad, he said, “when my kids learn a lesson faster than I did,” sharing how his son handled losing a championship baseball game at age 12.
The political commentator added that his daughters “are just smarter than me” but joked he “could do without the sarcasm.”
Tyrus’ kids are also proud of their dad. In 2022, he shared a video of his son looking for his book Just Tyrus in a bookstore.
“I don’t get to see my kids everyday and they don’t get to see me but love between a father and his children… I’m so so so proud of him!!! Thank you Kakerot !” Tyrus captioned the Instagram video, which also showed his teary reaction to his son’s gesture.
