It was the finale of season 8 of $100,000 Pyramid, which has not had an official renewal announcement.

It is feared, with its abrupt ending, that the program will not be coming back.

That has left Strahan, 53, with more spare time for his other on-air commitments.

There has been rumors he will quit GMA during the summer months.

It is understood he wants to spend more time with his family and friends.

However, no official confirmation has been made over that exit.

But The US Sun understands with no $100,000 Pyramid and a possible GMA exit, that has left more time for Fox NFL Sunday.

Strahan is fully expected to be back for the new NFL campaign, which kicks off in early September.

The show has gone through major changes over the football offseason.

Jimmy Johnson announced his retirement from the show following the Super Bowl in February.

Terry Bradshaw has hinted at a possible retirement, but is set to be back again.

However, the futures of Charissa Thompson and Erin Andrews are still up-in-the-air.

Strahan is set to be the main face of the show once again, alongside the legendary Bradshaw.

Earlier this week, the New York Giants history-maker paid an emotional farewell to $100,000 Pyramid.

The show has ran every Sunday night since early March.

SMAC Productions, who make it, have given no indication it will return.

Strahan addressed the audience on the taping of the season 8 finale.

“You’re appreciated. I love you,” he said in emotional scenes.

“I am thankful for season 8.

“It never gets boring hosting this show.

“It never gets boring sitting around here and being with you all, because you make Pyramid what it’s really been.

“The greatest thing about it is when I am somewhere and people come and say, ‘We love watching Pyramid,’.

“Not just for themselves but they watch it as a family.

“Like I said, I couldn’t do it without you all, none of us could.

“So, thank you all so much. Everybody, have a great night.”
