Tom Cruise Gives Glowing Praise for Ana de Armas’ Ballerina After Their Frequent Outings Together

The two actors have been spotted out together in London on multiple occasions in the past few months

Tom Cruise is giving props to Ana de Armas for her new action-packed film Ballerina.

In an Instagram video from the London premiere of his Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, Cruise, 62, is seen standing alongside Spanish producer and actor Javier Ibarreche while discussing de Armas’ spinoff in the John Wick franchise starring Keanu Reeves.

“I just saw the movie — it kicks ass,” Cruise said with a smile in the clip.

Cruise also gave praise to his former Interview with the Vampire costar Brad Pitt’s upcoming F1, calling it a “fun movie.” In F1, Pitt plays a a former driver “who returns to Formula 1 at APXGP, a fictional team on the grid,” per a synopsis.

De Armas, 37, recently confirmed that she and Cruise are working on “a few projects” together during a May 15 appearance on Good Morning America. Her comments came after they first were spotted out together in February.

While promoting Ballerina, de Armas was asked about her plans for the future and rumors that she was “working with another big star” and “a stunt master.”

GMA co-host Michael Strahan directly named Cruise, asking de Armas if they were collaborating on a movie that would entail her doing “some other crazy stunts.”

“We’re definitely working on a lot of things. Not just one but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. And I’m so excited,” de Armas said.

Liman is a director who worked with Cruise on 2014’s Edge of Tomorrow and 2017’s American Made. McQuarrie is a director and screenwriter; he and Cruise have joined forces on various movies within the Mission: Impossible franchise. He also wrote the script for Edge of Tomorrow.

When Cruise and de Armas were first spotted on a night out in London in February, an insider told PEOPLE they were at dinner with their agents “discussing potential collaborations down the line.”

Since then, the pair have been seen together multiple times, including on a walk in London on de Armas’ 37th birthday.

The two Oscar nominees strolled alongside each other as their security detail walked close by. Cruise and de Armas appeared to be enjoying a chat as they casually made their way down one of the pathways in the park.

They were most recently spotted in a car together leaving David Beckham’s 50th birthday party in London May 3.
