Justin and Hailey Bieber are enjoying their first year as new parents to their baby boy, Jack.
The “Love Yourself” singer and the Rhode founder married in September 2018. Six years later, in May 2024, the couple renewed their wedding vows in Hawaii and revealed that they were expecting their first child together. Three months later, in August 2024, their son, Jack Blues Bieber, was born.
“They’re both overjoyed. The baby is such a miracle. He’s adorable and doing well,” a source told PEOPLE shortly after Jack’s birth was announced. “The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for.”

The source went on to say that the day Justin found out Hailey was expecting was “the best ever.”
“He was over the moon with excitement. It was a big celebration for them,” the source shared, adding, “Justin’s already a great dad.” Since Jack’s birth, Justin and Hailey have shared glimpses into their newborn’s life and their routines as a family of three.
Here’s everything to know about Justin and Hailey Bieber’s baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber.
Hailey was open about being “scared” of parenthood

Despite the fact that she’s always wanted a family of her own, Hailey also admitted to feeling fearful and hesitant about the idea in May 2023.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, the model expressed her anxiety over the idea of having children as a public figure. “I literally cry about this all the time!” she shared. “I want kids so bad but I get scared. It’s enough that people say things about my husband or my friends. I can’t imagine having to confront people saying things about a child.”
Still, as the daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin, Hailey herself grew up in the spotlight and understands how to rise above the scrutiny. “We can only do the best we can to raise them,” she said. “As long as they feel loved and safe.”
Justin and Hailey kept her pregnancy secret for six months

Although feeling apprehensive of potential scrutiny wasn’t enough to prevent Hailey from having kids of her own, it did shape how she and Justin revealed the news.
In May 2024, she shared a sweet video and series of images on Instagram showcasing her growing baby bump. That same day, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE that she was just over six months pregnant. Although Justin and Hailey told those close to them right away, they opted to keep the pregnancy news private from the rest of the world.
“They feel so blessed. They’ve also felt very protective of the baby from the moment they found out,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “It was important for them to keep it quiet and just enjoy for as long as possible before they publicly confirmed [it].”
Eventually, though, the idea of sharing the news was more appealing than keeping it private. “I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time,” the model explained in an interview with W Magazine that July. “I was able to wear big jackets and stuff.”
“I probably could have hid it until the end,” Hailey continued. “But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”

Hailey and Justin welcomed their baby boy, Jack Blues Bieber, in late August 2024.
Justin announced the news with an Instagram post, writing, “WELCOME HOME JACK BLUES BIEBER ,” alongside a photo of the newborn’s foot.
Speaking to PEOPLE a month later, Hailey’s dad, Stephen, gushed about his new grandson. “He’s unbelievably cute,” the actor said before adding, “the world will see him soon.”
His name has a special meaning

Hailey and Justin chose their son’s moniker for a sentimental reason.
Jack’s name carries the initials “J.B.,” which is a Bieber family tradition. Justin, his father, Jeremy, and two of his younger siblings, Jazmyn and Jaxon, all share the same initials.

Additionally, Jeremy’s middle name is Jack, so the singer named his son in honor of his dad.

Justin and Hailey celebrated their son’s first Halloween with a fun day of family dress-up. The couple channeled the early aughts with their Kim Possible-themed costumes.
Justin and Hailey both wore matching black shirts and cargo pants as Ron Stoppable and Kim Possible from the iconic Disney Channel show. Hailey also donned a red wig to complete the look.
Meanwhile, their then-2-month-old son went as Rufus, Ron’s pet naked mole rat, in a pink onesie.
Justin wants to share his passion for skating with his son

The Canadian singer is a big fan of ice skating and hockey and plans to share those interests with his son.
In February 2025, Justin participated in Skate For LA Strong, a charity hockey game held to benefit those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires.
During the event, he told reporters that he wants to teach Jack to skate “as soon as possible.” Despite his son only being 6-months old, the musician joked that “it’s never too early.”
Hailey has said motherhood changed her life

In October 2024, Hailey opened up about creating a healthy work-life balance after having Jack, telling Women’s Wear Daily, “I’m only doing what feels comfortable for me physically, mentally and emotionally.”
That same month, the model gushed over motherhood in an interview with Elle. “Welcoming my son into the world has obviously changed my whole life,” she said. “That has been the best part of the year for sure.”
Hailey went on to share what she’s anticipating most as a new mom: the fall season. “I’m looking forward to keeping cozy and enjoying my time,” she said. “It’s my favorite time of year, and I’m excited about Halloween and getting to experience a lot of things with my family and with my baby.”
