Sadie Robertson paid tribute to the late reality TV star in a heartwarming post.

“Duck Dynasty” star Sadie Robertson is recalling a sweet moment she had with her grandfather, Phil Robertson, shortly before he died.

On Instagram, Sadie Robertson shared a bevy of photos of them together through the years, including a picture of her holding his hand while he laid in bed.

In the caption, Sadie Robertson said a verse from Corinthians reminded her of their final moments together: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

“I was sitting with Papaw Phil today, I thought about this verse… he has already experienced this on earth — going from dead to alive by the power of Christ!” she continued. “It was his testimony that changed his life, our families life, and thousands of others. Now he is experiencing it in the fullness. Fully alive in Christ. The new has come.”

Sadie Robertson added, “One of the last things he said to me was ‘full strength ahead!’ Amen!”

On May 25, Sadie Robertson’s family announced that the patriarch of the hit reality TV show “Duck Dynasty,” had died. He was 79.

“We celebrate today that our father, husband, and grandfather, Phil Robertson, is now with the Lord,” the family wrote in a Facebook post on Phil Robertson’s official page.

Though the family did not reveal his cause of death, they did open up about his multiple health issues before. In December, Phil Robertson’s children shared that their dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and was also dealing with an unnamed blood disorder.

“We were trying to figure out the diagnosis, but according to the doctors, they are sure that he has some sort of blood disease that’s causing all kinds of problems,” Jase Robertson said on the “Unashamed with the Robertson Family” podcast.

“He’s really struggling,” he added.
