Dubbed “pommel horse guy” by the internet, Stephen was part of the USA men’s gymnastics contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics and earned the nickname following a showstopping performance on the pommel horse.

Now ready to show off his dancing skills, Stephen is the first celebrity to be unmasked for DWTS’ upcoming season, which premieres next month.

“I’m hoping to bring some of that gymnastics,” the 25-year-old gymnast from Massachusetts told host Robin Roberts. “Maybe a backflip or handstand. I want to have fun with it.”

GMA previously teased the reveal when the show shared a picture of a man with an Olympic medal around his neck, covering his face with a mirror ball.

The photo was posted on X with the caption, “COMING UP: We’re flipping out over our first #DWTS contestant reveal for its newest season!”

Earlier this month, DWTS pro Daniella Karagach told The U.S. Sun the season 33 cast will “definitely” include a US Olympian.

“I think there will definitely be someone from the Olympics just because if you look at DWTS history, they usually do [include one],” the 31-year-old said.

“I don’t know who it would be. Oh my God, it’d be so funny if it was the guy with the glasses [Stephen Nedoroscik]. But I literally don’t know. I feel like it’s so unpredictable.”

When asked if he will dance with glasses, Stephen told GMA viewers, “I might have fun with it. I’m scared they [glasses] will fly off that’s the thing.

“Maybe we can do a gadget to keep them on. Maybe a new pair of glasses to match the theme!

“I’m very excited!” he added.

Stephen also said he would employ some of the same practices he used to maintain his composure while competing at the Olympics on DWTS, including “breathing exercises and visualisation.”

“It’s kinda what I do just to calm myself down, so I will probably be bringing that to the dance floor,” Stephen continued.

The countdown to the season 33 premiere of DWTS has begun, with the ABC show returning to screens on September 17, 2024.

‘REALLY INTERESTED IN DWTS’

Some of the rumored contestants include Travis Kelce’s brother, retired NFL player Jason Kelce, Golden Bachelorette Joan Vassos, and Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval.

A source for the Philadelphia Eagles legend told The U.S. Sun that Jason is “mulling” over an invite from DWTS, adding he “wants to show his dancing skills.”

“He looks forward to being on TV when the NFL season starts. But he also wants to do multiple things and loves TV shows,” said the insider.

“He been asked to appear on plenty of shows in the last few months, and he is really interested in being on some of them. Jason is sure to have fun on Dancing with The Stars and hopes it will work out in the coming season,” the source added.

Jason retired from the NFL earlier this year, before he was recruited to be and ESPN pundit on Monday Night Football.

His participation on DWTS will require a lot of juggling, the source said, adding, “He will have to figure out his schedule, but he’s enthusiastic.”

The full line-up for the ABC and Disney+ show is expected to be confirmed by the end of August.
