Truth be told, Kevin Gates is not apologizing to LeBron James.

After the Los Angeles Lakers player appeared to defend wife Savannah James following the “Hard For” rapper’s criticism about the way she looks at her husband of 11 years, the 39-year-old doubled down on his message.

“Long as you being celebrated, I don’t care who don’t like me,” he continued. “Long as you being celebrated, that’s all I care about. I don’t care if I got a fallout with somebody, I love to get the results.”

Indeed, the “Me Too” rapper previously expressed his belief that Savannah may not be the perfect match for LeBron, based on the way she looks at him while doing their special handshake before his games compared to the way other women fawn over him.

“I don’t like the way Savannah look at LeBron,” Kevin said in an April 19 Instagram video, emphasizing that, because of Savannah, he wouldn’t want to trade places with the basketball legend if given the chance. “I like the way them white women look at LeBron. As soon as he walked out there, they just be like, ‘Oh oh oh.’”

The “D U Down” rapper even went on to describe Savannah as “the warden of the jail,” while he described LeBron’s spirit as “so loving and giving, it hurt me to see it.”

And even upon initially posting the video, he knew it would inevitably be met with backlash.

“I know a lot of people gonna hate what I just said,” Kevin noted in the video, “but I’m gonna be honest, if everybody like me then I’m p—y.”

“I love LeBron and I hate that for him,” he added. “As a man, I hate that he gotta go through that in the playoffs.”

But once the athlete got wind of what the rapper was saying about his wife—with whom he shares kids Bronny James, 20, Bryce James, 17, and Zhuri James, 10—he seemingly fired back and made his disagreement abundantly clear.

“Kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants,” LeBron captioned an April 20 Instagram post alongside two photos of him and Savannah embracing each other. “Where to next Queen?!?! Let’s get it!”
