Inside the Private Life of FOX News Star Aishah Hasnie: The Truth About Her Family, Roots, and Rise

As one of the most recognizable faces on FOX News, Aishah Hasnie delivers breaking headlines with precision, poise, and passion. But beyond the lights of the studio and the blur of deadlines lies a story far more compelling — the untold tale of her immigrant roots, devoted family, and the personal journey that shaped her into the journalist she is today.

No Husband, No Kids — But a Heart Full of Family

Fans often wonder: Is Aishah Hasnie married? Does she have children? The answer is no — and not because of lack of interest. “I’ve just been married to my career,” she’s said with a laugh in past interviews. Her relentless schedule as a national news correspondent leaves little time for personal affairs.

But if you ask her about family, her eyes light up.

The Father Who Gave It All Up

Aishah’s father, Amjad Hasnie, was born in Lahore, Pakistan in 1955, the middle of eleven siblings. Back home, he had it all — status, wealth, and a thriving business in the oil industry. But in search of something greater for his three children, Amjad made the bold move to America.

He arrived in the U.S. with little more than determination and a desire to build a better life. His professional degrees didn’t carry weight in his new home, so he started from scratch — working at JCPenney, pursuing education again at Indiana Wesleyan University, and eventually landing a career as an engineer at General Motors.

Despite the hardships, Amjad never looked back. “He gave up everything for us,” Aishah has said, crediting her father not only with her work ethic, but also her courage — the same courage she now carries into global hotspots like Ukraine and Taiwan as a foreign correspondent.

Amjad is also a licensed pilot and, by all accounts, a deeply supportive father and husband.

A Legacy of Journalism in Her Blood

Aishah’s mother, Fozia Hasnie, was born in 1960 and comes from a well-known family of Pakistani journalists — the Zuberi family. Fozia’s influence is unmistakable. Though she worked in technical roles before retiring, it was her love of storytelling and firm moral compass that left an impression on her children.

“She taught us values,” Aishah recalled. “She’s my angel.”

Fozia now enjoys time as a proud mother and grandmother, watching her daughter rise to national prominence with both pride and reverence.

A Tight-Knit Trio

Aishah is the middle child between two high-achieving siblings.

Her older brother, Dr. Omar Hasnie (b. October 5, 1982), is an emergency medicine physician based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Married to PR expert Maria Omar, the couple shares a son, Isa. Aishah and Omar share a unique birthday — and a close bond.

Her younger sister, Afiah Hasnie Sajid, is a clinical health psychologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Married to dentist Bilal Sajid since 2014, Afiah is more than a sibling to Aishah — she’s a confidante and a source of emotional grounding.

Aishah has described caring for her younger sister as her first real experience of motherhood. Even now, despite living in separate states, the sisters remain deeply connected.

From Pakistan to Prime Time

Born in Lahore and raised in Bedford, Indiana from the age of six, Aishah didn’t initially dream of becoming a journalist. She started college as a biology major at Indiana University — but soon gravitated toward the newsroom, writing for the school paper and finding her voice.

Her career trajectory shifted dramatically when she shadowed her cousin, TV journalist Maira Ansari, at WICS-TV in Illinois. Inspired, Aishah dove into journalism full-time, taking an internship at GEO-TV in Pakistan to help promote press freedom in her homeland.

She returned to the U.S., landing a reporting job at WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, where her investigative work contributed to tightening Indiana’s voyeurism laws — earning her an Emmy nomination.

Her star continued to rise. In 2011, she joined FOX59 in Indianapolis. By 2019, she was tapped by FOX News Channel in New York City as an overnight anchor, quickly becoming a fixture on national broadcasts.

A Life Lived on Deadline

Whether she’s reporting from war-torn Eastern Europe or analyzing domestic politics from Manhattan, Aishah Hasnie has built a reputation as a fearless, fair, and deeply compassionate journalist.

She’s also something of a Renaissance woman: a former soccer player, an avid globetrotter, and a recreational markswoman — a skill she shares with her father.

Though she dreams of more time for reading, relaxing, and reconnecting with loved ones, Aishah rarely slows down. “This job demands your all,” she’s said. “And I give it everything.”

A Star, Grounded in Family

In an age where media figures often become personalities first and journalists second, Aishah Hasnie stands apart. She is, at once, a national news anchor, a proud daughter of immigrants, and a living testament to the American dream — one built not just on ambition, but on sacrifice, resilience, and love.
