During a timeout, Buddy Hield was seen apologizing to Stephen Curry, saying, "My fault, my fault," but Butler wasn’t a fan of it

The Golden State Warriors entered Game 3 of their playoff series against the Houston Rockets locked at 1-1, knowing they needed a strong response. Saturday’s contest at Chase Center was even more challenging with Jimmy Butler sidelined due to a pelvic contusion. Yet, as he has done so many times before, Stephen Curry rose to the occasion, leading the Warriors to a 104-93 win and a 2-1 series lead.

Curry delivered an inspired performance, fighting through every possession and setting the tone for Golden State. However, not everything went smoothly on the Warriors’ bench.

Cameras captured Curry was visibly frustrated with teammate Buddy Hield’s decision-making, particularly his dribbling during key moments. During a timeout, Hield was seen apologizing, saying, “My fault, my fault.

While Jimmy Butler was unable to suit up, he remained heavily involved from the sidelines. Butler was unhappy with Hield’s dribbling. The camera caught him standing up from his seat after Hield’s apology, and he was seen shaking his head in frustration, while Curry was seen totally disappointed.

Despite the internal frustrations, the Warriors secured a critical victory. Stephen Curry finished the game with 36 points, seven rebounds, nine assists, two blocks, and five three-pointers. Buddy Hield contributed 17 points and two rebounds to the win.

A clip surfaced online later that showed Jimmy Butler speaking directly to Hield on the bench before the dribbling incident. In the video, Butler’s agitation was evident, as he emphatically gestured while seemingly telling Hield to cut down on his dribbling.

Butler’s frustration wasn’t a new development either. Rather, it echoed comments Butler made a few days earlier during a postgame press conference where he bluntly advised Hield, saying “Buddy, stop trying to dribble. I hate that.”

Butler is expected to return for Game 4 on Monday night. The news gives the Warriors an extra boost as they aim to build a commanding 3-1 lead over the Rockets.
