US actress Blake Lively (33, “Gossip Girl”) apparently struggled with her body after the birth of her third child. The wife of actor Ryan Reynolds (44, “Deadpool”) recently revealed in her Instagram story that she felt “insecure” after the birth of her daughter Betty (1) in October 2019. The reason: She could hardly find anything suitable to wear for public appearances. She didn’t fit into any of the clothes on offer.

To support her statement, Lively posted a photo of herself on Jimmy Fallon’s (46) “The Tonight Show” in January 2020. The actress revealed that she had to put together the outfit herself at the time because “no one had designs that would fit me after giving birth.” She couldn’t find any stores. The 33-year-old’s intention: It “doesn’t send a good message to women” if they don’t fit into the clothes on offer. “It’s alienating and confusing,” explained the mother of three.

Blake Lively is more confident today

Looking back, Lively wishes “I had felt as confident back then as I do now.” After all, her body gave birth to three healthy children and “produced all the food I needed.” This, she says, is an absolute miracle. “But instead of feeling proud, I felt insecure. Just because I didn’t fit into the clothes. How stupid is that in retrospect?”
