While hitting the Today show stage in New York City on Tuesday morning, Shelton performed the song “Stay Country or Die Tryin’” for the first time since his album dropped on Friday, May 9.

“Wow!” one user on X (formerly Twitter) wrote online while sharing a snippet from the performance.

“Blake Shelton’s ‘Stay Country or Die Tryin’ is such a powerful song for live performance. It’ll be even explosive in the arena,” that same user declared.

“These vocals are something else,” another fan wrote on X, while someone else chimed in to say, “He’s such a great live performer. I love this so much.”

Another person said Shelton’s new song “has “the same incredible vibe as ‘God’s Country.’”

Also during the performance, Shelton performed his latest hit song and the album’s lead single, “Texas,” as well as some of his old hits like “Honey Bee” from his 2011 album, Red River Blue.
