Elon Musk Slams Donald Trump in Explosive Fallout After Government Exit: “I’m Very Disappointed in Him — He Lied, He Failed, He’s Not Who You Think!” Trump Fires Back, Calling Musk a ‘Traitor to America’. Public Stunned as Two Titans Turn Bitter Enemies Overnight!

President Donald Trump lashed out at Elon Musk on Thursday , saying he was “disappointed” by the billionaire’s public opposition to the sweeping tax cut and spending bill at the heart of Trump’s agenda

“Look, Elon and I had an excellent relationship. I don’t know if we’ll continue to have it,” Trump said in the Oval Office. “He said very nice things about me, and he hasn’t said anything bad about me personally, but I’m sure that’s the next step. But I’m very disappointed in Elon . I’ve helped him a lot.”

Trump also claimed Musk’s vicious attacks on the bill were due to the proposal to eliminate consumer tax credits for electric vehicles. Musk, CEO of electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla, has stated his opposition to the bill because it will increase the federal deficit.

Trump suggested that Musk, who received a glowing farewell from Trump last week after overseeing his effort to cut federal bureaucracy costs, was upset because he missed working for Trump.

“This isn’t the first time,” Trump said. “There are people who leave my administration… and then, at some point, they miss it terribly, and some accept it, and others even become hostile.”

As Trump spoke, Musk wrote on X: “Slim Beautiful Bill for Victory,” a reference to the bill’s official title, the “Big Beautiful Bill Act.”

Musk followed up with another post, saying he was fine with cutting electric vehicle credits as long as Republicans removed what he called a “repugnant mountain of wasteful spending” from the bill.

Musk came to power with bold plans to cut $2 trillion from the federal budget . He left last week with a much smaller accomplishment , having cut roughly half of 1% of total spending.

Musk has been a powerful Trump ally, spending nearly $300 million supporting Republicans in the 2024 election and later overseeing Trump’s Department of Government Efficiency.

His actions, which eliminated thousands of federal jobs and cut billions of dollars in foreign aid and other programs, disrupted federal agencies and sparked widespread protests at Tesla dealerships in the United States and Europe.

Tesla shares extended their losses after Trump’s criticism of Musk: the stock was down nearly 6%; before Trump’s speech, it had fallen 3%.

Musk’s sayings

On his X account, Musk urged people to “Call your senator, call your congressman. Ruining America is NOT okay!” in an attempt to encourage lawmakers to reject the project, just a day after calling it a “disgusting abomination.”

“It’s a massive, outrageous, election-driven congressional spending bill… those who voted for it should be ashamed: they know they did wrong. They know it. I’m sorry, but I can’t stand it anymore ,” he wrote on social media the day before.

Despite these criticisms, the White House defended the legislation in a statement, insisting that the measure would usher in a period of unprecedented economic growth.

“By all honest measures, President Donald J. Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill dramatically improves the United States’ fiscal trajectory,” the statement reads, which takes pains to include the president’s typical language for describing his projects.
