Serena Williams’ eldest daughter, Olympia, just graduated and moved on to third grade, and her proud father, Alexis Ohanian, celebrated the occasion in the most heartfelt way. The Reddit co-founder whipped up a surprise crêpe breakfast to mark the moment.

Ohanian has long been open about prioritizing family life, often documenting cherished moments with his daughters, Olympia and baby Adira, on social media. Despite his numerous business ventures and commitments, he has consistently carved out time for simple, meaningful traditions. One of those is making breakfast.
Whether it’s pancakes on a weekend or, in this case, crepes for a graduation celebration, the tech entrepreneur knows how to show his love through small but thoughtful acts.
Ohanian took to his Instagram stories to share a glimpse of how he made Olympia’s graduation morning extra special. He posted a photo of himself cooking crêpes on the stovetop, captioning it:
“Special Graduation crêpe day.”

Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian Credits Olympia for Helping Him Through Post-Reddit Transition
Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, shared that his daughter, Olympia, inspired him to launch his VC firm, Seven Seven Six. After resigning from Reddit in 2020 over its hate speech policies, he faced an identity crisis.
“When I stepped away from Reddit, I resigned in protest from the board, urging the company to ban hate communities and some of the other things I found pretty offensive. It’s funny I naively thought that, that would motivate a bunch of other executives to resign as well. Turns out no one else did. But I had this, identity crisis for the first couple of months,” he said.
Ohanian later credited Olympia as his guiding force during that transition.
“Because here’s this company I spent 15,16 years of my life building, and now I had to figure out who I was going to be for the rest of my years. Olympia was in many ways my North Star. And I said, I want to keep building businesses, and I want to be doing in a way that I know I’m going to be proud of,” he added.
“So that’s why I started Seven Seven Six. I am going to use this to drive the best possible business outcomes in a way that I can brag to my daughters and hopefully grandkids about one day,” Ohanian concluded.
