Whoopi Goldberg Issues Fiery Response to Critics of ‘The View’

Whoopi Goldberg isn’t letting haters bring her down.

The EGOT winner and co-host on The View recently addressed critics of the ABC talk show, delivering an impassioned statement and insisting that she and her co-hosts are not going anywhere anytime soon.

During the Tuesday, March 4 episode of The View, Goldberg and her colleagues—which include Sunny HostinSara HainesJoy BeharAna Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin—were joined by former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre while discussing the ongoing discourse surrounding diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) hiring practices.

Jean-Pierre insisted that right-wing politicians, namely those involved in President Donald Trump‘s administration, have used “DEI hires” as a “catch-all for people, for things they don’t like.” She insisted, on the contrary from what haters might say, that “inclusion is important. It makes us a better country,” causing Goldberg, 69, to get fired-up about the topic in regards to her own workplace.

“We are not our great-grandparents. We are not our grandparents. We are of 2025,” the Sister Act star declared. “We are not the women that were in the 1950s. This is 2025, and we’re not going anywhere.”

“All these women, whether we would agree all the time or not, we are here to stay,” Goldberg added while pointing to the all-female team of co-hosts sitting at the table. “We’re not going anywhere. And you can call it any number of letters you want to. You’re gonna wake up and we’re still going to be here.”

Goldberg’s passionate message comes just one day after she issued an emphatic plea to viewers in regard to Trump and JD Vance‘s recent Oval Office argument with Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Here’s the thing that everybody can do: if you support Ukraine, say it out loud,” Goldberg said during Monday’s episode of The View. “Say it out loud.”
