Launched in July 2024, the 2025 Corvette ZR1 is Chevrolet’s most powerful car ever, successfully auctioned for 21 times its original price.
Recently, the Corvette ZR1 with VIN 001 was auctioned in Scottsdale, Arizona, USA. It only took a few minutes from the opening of the auction until the hammer was struck, the car was successfully priced at 3.7 million USD (about 92.7 billion VND).
The owner of the car is Rick Hendrick – a 73-year-old businessman, owner of the Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR racing team.
The entire auction amount of this Corvette ZR1 will be transferred directly to the American Red Cross to help areas affected by Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene, as well as other recent disasters, including wildfires.
The Corvette ZR1 supercar impresses with its design that is boldly styled like high-performance sports cars. In addition, the car is equipped with many carbon fiber details, helping to reduce weight. The coupe version weighs 1,665 kg, the convertible version weighs 1,705 kg, equivalent to C-size or D-size sedans.
While many believe that Corvette recently began its pursuit of “supercar” status with the mid-engined C8, the race began long ago with the C6.
This extremely rare Corvette, with only seven cars produced, Chevrolet’s Corvette division teamed up with top engineers at Pratt & Miller to develop a street-legal variant of the “track warrior” – the C6.R, using the Z06 platform.
Inside, the C6RS balances extreme track performance with modern luxury. The two-tone leather interior features French-stitched finishes on the dashboard, steering wheel and doors. High-back sport seats complement embroidered floor mats and custom accents. Dynamat sound insulation provides a quieter cabin, with thoughtful touches like a leather-wrapped center console and C6RS-branded treadplates.
Under the hood is a Katech Performance 8.2-liter V8 engine that produces over 600 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. The T-56 6-speed transmission and suspension enhance acceleration, while Brembo monobloc brakes provide precise stopping power.
From its lightweight carbon fiber construction to its high-performance powertrain, the Pratt & Miller Chevrolet Corvette C6RS is a masterpiece of Corvette engineering excellence. The 2007 Pratt & Miller Chevrolet Corvette C6RS from Graham Rahal Performance is currently for sale for $350,000.
