Novak Djokovic will team up with Maria Sharapova on his latest project as the Serbian legend prepares for life after retirement. While he is still aiming for a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam title, Djokovic is also aware that the end of his career may be near.

Had he not suffered a crucial injury before the Australian Open semi-finals earlier this year, Djokovic might have already bagged his 25th Grand Slam title. Instead, with less than a month to go before Roland-Garros 2025 kicks off, the wait continues.

While clay is not his forte, Djokovic remains a strong contender as long as he is in the tournament. Off the court, however, Nole is looking to elevate his image through partnerships with a number of high-end brands.

One of them is Aman Resorts, a luxury hotel and resort chain, where Djokovic will have the opportunity to join another famous brand ambassador, Maria Sharapova. He revealed in an interview with Business Traveler: “Maria Sharapova is also the brand ambassador for Aman wellness, and I have been friends with Maria for a long time, so I hope we can organize some retreats together, because the impact will be stronger for sure.”

“We don’t know where or when it will be held yet. As I’m still playing professionally, scheduling is a challenge, but I’m excited because it will help me develop and shape my thinking about health care, and learn how to better represent myself publicly on the subject, while expanding my personal brand.”

Djokovic said he has turned down many contracts over the past two decades: “I have turned down a lot of business and product promotions, mainly because I cannot represent things that I do not believe in, or that do not align with me and my values. Health and wellness is my biggest passion – alongside tennis, sports and education.”

“From the beginning, I knew that I wanted to work with brands like Aman, where quality is at the forefront of every aspect. I am looking forward to the retreats we will be hosting, where I can share my experiences and insights with people who are interested in my practice, recovery and spiritual growth,” he concludes.

After an early exit at the Madrid Open, Djokovic has also withdrawn from the Italian Open, meaning his next appearance will almost certainly be at Roland-Garros at the end of May.
