A source close to the Unstoppable actress – Jennifer Lopez (55 years old) – shared with People that she and Ben Affleck “are still in the process of divorce and continue to focus on taking care of the children”.

Jennifer Lopez is mother to 16-year-old twins Max-Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while the Oscar-winning actor has three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet (18), Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12).

“They want to show the kids that everything is friendly. They both want to keep it that way,” the source added.

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on August 20, marking their two-year wedding anniversary. The actress and singer filed the papers in Los Angeles County Superior Court and listed April 26, 2024, as the date of separation. Lopez filed for divorce without an attorney and represented herself. The reason for the split was irreconcilable differences.

Lopez is asking for no spousal support for either party. Court papers also indicate that Affleck and Lopez will split attorney fees.

Despite their split, the couple appear to remain on friendly terms, even reuniting for lunch on September 14, with four of their five children in attendance. Only Violet, who is currently attending Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, was not present.

Lopez and Affleck also attended several parties together for his children in the months before Lopez filed for divorce, including Violet and Samuel’s high school and elementary school graduations.

After the September 14 meeting, a source told People that the couple “are still in the process of getting divorced” and “are discussing financial matters amicably.”

“Jennifer Lopez is happy to see the kids happy together. Her children’s happiness is her top priority,” the source said.
