Selena Gomez admits she felt ‘alone’ and ‘didn’t like anyone’ for FIVE years after Justin Bieber split as she details ’embarrassing’ first kiss with fiancé Benny Blanco

Selena Gomez has admitted she felt ‘alone’ and ‘didn’t like anyone’ for five years after her relationship with ex Justin Bieber ended.

The singer, 32, and Justin, 31, dated on/off for nearly a decade before officially splitting in 2018.

Two months after the former couple split, Justin and wife Hailey, who’d had a previous fling in 2016, rekindled their flame in mid-2018 and married later that year. Both Justin and Hailey have denied any overlap in their relationships.

While Justin moved on months later, Selena said she felt very ‘alone’ in the aftermath of their breakup before finally meeting her fiancé Benny Blanco, 37.

Selena made the rare admission as she discussed her and Benny’s ’embarrassing’ first kiss on the latest episode on Jessie and Lennie Ware’s Table Manners podcast.

Benny said: ‘Towards the end of the date, we were just sitting in the living room on the couch, and we were playing, “We’re not really Strangers”.

And there was a thing where it said, take a selfie with the person next to you, and she got right on my chest and took a selfie.

‘And then right after, I just looked at her, and I said, I gotta kiss this girl. And I kissed her right away.

‘And her heart started beating so quickly, and she started getting a rash on her face, and she was so nervous.’

Lennie: ‘She wasn’t allergic to you?’, Benny added: ‘She was, yeah. I was so disgusting and repulsive.’

Selena added: ‘I hadn’t liked anyone in a very long time. So some kisses are for fun, and then when you feel something behind a kiss, it’s completely different.

‘And I’d been alone for about five years, with the exception of a few shitty dates here and there, but never felt that way. And I was a little embarrassed.’

Hailey has faced public scrutiny and was previously accused of ‘stealing’ Justin off Selena following their high profile split.

To prove there was ‘no beef or bad feelings’ between Hailey and Selena, the pair put on a united display in 2022 as they posed for a picture together.

In recent weeks, Hailey and Justin have been accused of ‘copying’ Selena and her fiancé Benny Blanco following a Disneyland date over the past weekend on Sunday.

The singer recently uploaded images to his Instagram page that captured moments from the trip to Disneyland – but some fans were quick to point out similarities to Gomez and Blanco’s past visit to the amusement park.

Last month in February, the former Disney channel actress and the record producer were spotted at the amusement park together.

In a video shared to TikTok, a social media user created a montage to show each couple at Disneyland – and going on the same rides as well as wearing similar outfits.

The reel kicked off with Selena and Benny having a blast on the Cars ride and then quickly jumped to Justin and Hailey on the same ride.

The fan also pointed out that Gomez donned black Minnie Mouse ears with a red and white polka dot bow – which the model also wore during her recent trip to the park with the music artist.

Justin shared a photo on Instagram which was a selfie as both he and Hailey had a blast on the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride – with the TikTok clip also showing Gomez and Blanco on the ride as well during their separate trip.
