Tension Rising? Justin Bieber Mysteriously Unfollows Selena Gomez’s Fiancé!

Pop star Justin Bieber has unfollowed Selena Gomez’s fiance Benny Blanco, despite them being close friends.

Earlier this week, fans discovered that Justin Bieber had unfollowed several famous friends on Instagram, including rappers Diddy, Drake, Diplo, singer The Weeknd – Selena Gomez’s ex-boyfriend, and Benny Blanco – the musician who recently proposed to Selena.

While fans were buzzing on social media about this, Justin Bieber did not respond. The only time Justin reacted was after he unfollowed his wife’s account in January, which worried fans. The singer explained that his account was “hacked” and he followed her back.

Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco are not just colleagues, they have been close friends for many years. The two artists have created many of Justin Bieber’s hits together such as: Eenie Meenie and Somebody to Love (2010), Love Yourself (2015), Cold Water (2016) and Lonely (2020). In the song Lonely , Benny Blanco is both the producer and the artist performing.

Outside of music, the two often support each other. In an interview with Zach Sang, Benny Blanco once said that Justin Bieber is different from “the stereotypical pop artist” because he is always open about his struggles.

According to In Touch Weekly , Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco’s relationship began to deteriorate when Benny Blanco started dating Selena Gomez. Benny, a musician who has collaborated with Selena since 2013, went public with his relationship with Selena in December 2023 and proposed late last year.

The source said Benny Blanco has apparently cut off contact with Justin since dating Selena. Justin is said to have tried to stay on good terms with Benny but felt his friend growing distant. “They used to be really close friends, so this is a big shock,” the source said.

When Selena Gomez shared the happy news of her engagement on Instagram, Hailey Bieber – Justin’s wife – liked it. Meanwhile, Justin posted a selfie with his wife with the lyrics of the song All My Ghosts . The song talks about the lingering memories of his ex-lover with lyrics like: “I can picture it right now, the wedding of the year/ When all my ghosts are gone/ I can see it crystal clear.” Many believe that Justin Bieber’s choice of this song was intentional.
