Victoria Beckham Ribs Husband David Over Gardening Clothes: 'You Know You're Married to a Fashion Icon

Victoria and David Beckham still have plenty of jokes about each other’s fashion sense.

In a sweet, joking video shared to David’s Instagram account on Friday, April 25, the fashion designer, 51, films her husband of 25 years as he kneels down in the backyard of their home to pick some white radishes.

“I think the radishes might be ready,” the soccer star, 49, says, wearing a grey t-shirt, khaki shorts, nude-colored socks, white sneakers and an orange beanie.

“You look nice,” Victoria tells her husband as he picks the veggies.

“I look nice? No, I look a state,” he joked back.

His wife was ready with a quick rib: “You know you’re married to a fashion icon, right?”

“Am I? You look like one,” he replied to Victoria, who then said: “I like your socks.”

As the pair continues to tease each other, David tries to tell his wife that gardening is “good for the mind.” She’s quick to joke back: “What, to dress badly?”

The couple then laughs at each other as Victoria zooms out to show off a little bit of their garden.

“Radish Alert 🤍,” David captioned the funny video. “My wife’s hilarious 🤨 she just ate 5 of my radishes, once washed of course 🤍.”

The current Inter Miami CF president recently opened up about “dressing cooler” in a conversation with GQ, as he recently launched his debut menswear collaboration with Boss.

Speaking with the outlet, Beckham opened up about training for his underwear ads with the brand, sharing that he was going to “go all out” to “get back in my underwear at 50 years old.”

“I did a 14-week [diet of] no carbs, no bread, no butter, no pasta, no pizzas, no alcohol, and just trained like crazy for 14 weeks,” he shared. “Because I knew what Boss were putting into this, and I knew I would be working with [the photographers] again, so it was a real team effort to get back into real good shape and to do the best campaign.”

The training was seemingly all worth it, as the former English soccer player told Deadline earlier this year that his mother-in-law admitted she and her friends were “zooming in” on the photos from the Boss campaign, which launched on Jan. 30.

Beckham joked that his mother-in-law told him she “could see everything” when she zoomed in on his photos.

“I was like, ‘Well, don’t zoom in then,’ ” he recalled of the “embarrassing” moment.

Elsewhere in his conversation with GQ, Beckham opened up about falling in love with traditional men’s tailoring, linen suits and other classic styles as he’s gotten older.

“I think gone are the days where I’d be too daring. I think I’ll leave that to my kids,” Beckham said. “My sons are quite daring in what they wear, but my aesthetic is really kind of classic now. It’s very understated.”
