“Like we got Jimmy Butler. Like this is no small deal. It’s Jimmy Butler. Steph, he looked like he got belief. After the trade, he looked at me and he said, ‘Man, it’s crazy cuz it just dawned on me that like this is it, like this is… last ride.’ And I said, ‘Let’s do it. Like let’s do it.’ It was an emotional moment.” Green said.

Butler opted out of his player option for the 2025–26 season to secure a two-year contract extension with the Warriors valued at $121 million, which will conclude at the end of the 2026–27 season. In his initial game with the Warriors, he achieved an impressive performance, scoring 25 points during the team’s 132–111 victory against the Chicago Bulls.

Jimmy Butler’s Performance Against The Milwaukee Bucks

Butler played his second game for the Warriors in the recent matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks at Fiserv Forum. He scored 20 points, recorded 6 assists, and grabbed 9 rebounds in 31 minutes of play. Star player Stephen Curry also had an impressive game, scoring 38 points, along with 4 assists and 6 rebounds. Their combined efforts led the Warriors to a 125-111 victory over the Bucks.

Butler’s addition to the roster has proven beneficial for the Warriors, who have won both of their games in the ongoing 2024-25 NBA season since his debut. However, the Warriors must continue their strong efforts moving forward to secure a playoff spot.
