But the league’s new format does not sound thrilling to him. The new All-Star format has left many players baffled, and Brown is no different.

The NBA All-Star Game is set to take place in San Francisco. This year’s contest introduces an elimination-style tournament with four teams, a departure from the traditional format that pitted the Eastern and Western Conferences against each other. The confusion surrounding the new rules has only led to fans and players both scratching their heads.

“I have no idea what’s going on,” Brown said when asked about what he thinks of the new format.

Despite his humorous take on the situation, Brown remains uncertain about whether this new format will enhance the competitive spirit of the event. When asked if the changes might lead to a more engaging competition, he could only shrug and say, “I guess we’ll see.”

However, Brown still seems to be focused on making the best of the situation while joining “Team Shaq” alongside stars like LeBron James and Stephen Curry. The elimination-style tournament will kick off at 8:00 p.m. EST, and Brown will be more than ready despite the new format.

Jaylen Brown Gets Brutally Honest On Possible NBA 1v1 Tournament

While the new format settlement has given Brown a sense of confusion, it does not deter his confidence in himself. During the press conference at the NBA All-Star weekend, the Boston Celtics forward didn’t hold back. He confidently declared his belief in thriving in a theoretical one-on-one tournament against some of the league’s best.

“I would win,” JB said when asked who would win if the NBA hosted a 1v1 tournament.

Though it might sound like a bold statement, the Celtics star has pretty good stats to back his claims up. Brown’s claim comes at a time when he is enjoying another standout season. He’s averaging 22.9 points, along with solid contributions in rebounds and assists for the powerhouse Celtics, who hold a 39-16 record.

As he prepares to participate in his fourth All-Star contest, this new mini-tournament format adds a unique twist to the All-Star festivities. With versatile wings and playmakers cozying up to his size, it’s clear that Brown feels not only capable but also eager to showcase his skills in this hypothetical matchup.
