LeBron James’ gang is set to play six games in just eight days in March. This intense run isn’t just about the volume of games; it’s about the caliber of their opponents.

The Lakers are scheduled to face the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets, twice, who currently hold the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. They’ll also take on the Milwaukee Bucks twice, the No. 5 seed in the East. While the Phoenix Suns and San Antonio Spurs haven’t had the strongest seasons, they still pose threats the Lakers can’t afford to overlook.

Meanwhile, LeBron James didn’t hold back his feelings about the packed slate. The 40-year-old star took to his official Instagram account and posted a blunt three-word message that captured his frustration.

This is INSANE!!!!” LeBron wrote.

However, not everyone was sympathetic to LeBron’s frustration. Many fans criticized him for complaining. Michael Jordan’s name inevitably entered the conversation as critics suggested that Jordan would have faced the same schedule without a word of protest.

LeBron James Shuts Down Retirement Talk

After finally achieving his dream of sharing the court with his son, Bronny James, many believed this season might be LeBron James’ last. However, following the Lakers’ recent win over the Portland Trail Blazers, LeBron restated those retirement rumors. In his post-game interview, the 40-year-old superstar clarified that his passion for the game still burns bright.

“I still love the game… And I still got a lot to give—to the game, to my teammates, to this league while I’m here. I don’t have much time left. So, while I’m here today in this time, I’m going to try to give what I got when I’m out on the floor,” LeBron said.

With Anthony Davis now with the Dallas Mavericks, LeBron carries the bulk of the responsibility for the Lakers’ playoff hopes. The team’s major acquisition, Luka Doncic, has yet to fully find his rhythm in purple and gold. This has increased the pressure on LeBron to continue to be the Lakers’ most reliable force.
