Watch a teen’s powerful rendition of Camila Cabello’s “Havana” that has made fans go wild on Twitter
Camila Cabello’s hit “Havana” is lighting up social media again after a 13-year-old performed the Cuban-American singer’s song on the music show The Voice Kids Brazil. Brazilian aspiring singer Livia Bernarde wowed the reality show’s judges, and audiences worldwide, with her powerful rendition of the track, making #TheVoiceKids a global trending topic on Twitter.
After Bernarde interpreted the song on the March 18 show, the video of her performance drew a slew of comments and shares. The Brazilian teen already has a strong presence on social media, with over 14,000 followers on Instagram.
Cabello’s über popular song reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 in January with her remix of the megahit, featuring Young Thug. The 20-year-old’s first solo album (after leaving girl band Fifth Harmony in 2016) Camila, debuted atop Billboard’s 200 chart, which marks the first time that a female artist’s full-length debut album has landed at No. 1 since Meghan Trainor’s Title in 2015.

So it’s no surprise that multiple covers of the song have surfaced on YouTube. Singer J.Fla — from Seoul, South Korea — also shared a cover last year, garnering over 51 million views.
Likewise, Spanish singer Leroy Sanchez shared his own bilingual version of the track on Youtube, getting over 6 million views.
American singer Madilyn Bailey got over 7 million views on YouTube with her “Havana” rendition.
Cabello commented on these popular covers in a video interview with Glamour: “It takes a lot of guts to put whatever you are passionate about on the Internet where anybody can see. I started off putting Youtube covers up on the Internet too. I just deleted all of them,” she said. “It’s such a great way of learning and growing and exposing your talent and what you can do.”
