Reba McEntire And Rex Linn Honor Those Who Lost Their Lives On The 30th Anniversary Of The Oklahoma Bombing
Reba McEntire, a proud Oklahoma native, has never forgotten her roots. Even after decades of fame, her home state continues to hold a special place in her heart, and she’s always found ways to give back to the place that shaped her.
Most recently, she and her longtime boyfriend, actor Rex Linn, paid tribute to the 168 lives that were lost in the Oklahoma City bombing in honor of the tragedy’s 30th anniversary.

Reba took to social media to share that she and Rex have planted a seedling from the Survivor Tree.
The Survivor Tree is an American Elm located in downtown Oklahoma City. It was the only tree in the area to withstand the force of the 1995 bombing. Over the years, it has become a powerful symbol of resilience and hope in American history.
Reba shared a photo of her and Rex standing beside the newly planted tree, both with smiles on their faces. The photo caption reads:
“30 years ago today, a horrific act of terrorism occurred in Oklahoma City in our great home state of Oklahoma. Today, we planted a seedling from The Survivor Tree, the only tree that survived the tragedy. We planted this tree in honor of those 168 precious lives lost that day, and as a symbol of hope for the future.”
Many fans filled the comments with appreciation, thanking the Happy’s Place stars for taking time out of their busy lives to honor the victims.
“A beautiful tribute to the 168 lives so tragically ended, one person wrote. “Their lives will forever be remembered in this living symbol of life! Can’t think of anyone more caring to better honor them in this special way than you and Rex!! God bless the two of you and the 168 souls remembered today!!”
“This is a very thoughtful tribute to all those beautiful lives that were lost. [Love] you both!” another comment read.
“What an awesome act of remembrance by two awesome individuals!” said someone else.
Hats off to Reba and Rex for this special tribute! See the photo of the two standing proudly beside the small tree they planted below.
