Kat Timpf's Fox News replacement sends sweet message to comedian after cancer diagnosis as Gutfeld! star faces surgery | The US Sun

Fox News viewers have shared their reactions online after it was announced that Kennedy Montgomery would temporarily replace Kat Timpf on “Gutfeld!” while the comedian undergoes treatment for breast cancer.

On February 25, Timpf revealed that she had been diagnosed with Stage Zero breast cancer just 15 hours before going into labor with her first child, a baby boy, with husband Cameron Friscia. Two days later, Greg Gutfeld confirmed that Timpf would be stepping away from the network to focus on her treatment and surgery while on maternity leave.

During her absence, Montgomery, 52, has stepped in to take Timpf’s spot on the “Gutfeld!” panel for the week. In a heartfelt video shared on social media, Montgomery expressed her support for Timpf, saying, “We are going to channel her goodness and her glasses, and we will sprinkle the studio with absolute love and affection.” She jokingly added, “You’re going to want to pay for it, but I only take cash.”

Timpf responded to Montgomery’s message with heart emojis on X (formerly Twitter), showing her appreciation for the support. Previously, Montgomery had also praised Timpf as a “hero” upon hearing about her diagnosis, writing, “You are amazing in every way, and you were heroic in labor given the day you just had. I love you.”

As of now, it remains unclear who will take over Timpf’s position on “Gutfeld!” after Montgomery’s temporary stint.

Fox News viewers have shared their excitement about Montgomery’s presence on the panel, with many praising the decision. One fan called her “the greatest commentator ever to grace the Fox airwaves,” while another described her as “a firecracker on the panel that is needed in Kat’s absence.” Others have sent well wishes to Timpf, saying, “Please let Kat know we are praying for her and her newborn baby.”

Despite her diagnosis, Timpf remained committed to her work as a Fox News columnist until the final days of her pregnancy, even appearing on air past her due date. She later shared the news of her son’s birth alongside her cancer diagnosis, reassuring fans with a touch of humor: “Don’t freak out, it’s just like a little bit of cancer.”

Doctors have advised Timpf to undergo a double mastectomy as soon as possible, a decision she has openly discussed on social media. “After giving birth, I was grateful for the healthy baby boy that might have saved my life,” she shared.

Timpf has also addressed unsolicited medical advice from fans, emphasizing that she trusts her team of doctors. “I find it devastating, but I am very grateful to have access to the opinions of many brilliant minds when it comes to breast cancer. The focus of all these conversations is what’s the best thing to do to keep me alive so I’m around for my son for a long time.”

Meanwhile, “Gutfeld!” continues to air at 11 p.m. ET each weeknight, though it will not be broadcast on Tuesday due to former President Donald Trump’s scheduled address to Congress at 9 p.m. ET.
