There’s a reason why Michael Bublé would be a reluctant contestant on the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor – and it’s got nothing to do with the fox trot.

The Canadian crooner – who recently suffered Kris Jenner’s wrath over his Kim Kardashian sex tape comments – would never compete on the BBC dance series over fears he’d try his best to bed his dancing partner.

‘I would be too afraid that I would fall in love with the professional that I would be dancing with,’ he told the Daily Star.

‘I honestly do not know how everyone is not having sex with everyone else in that show.’

Happily married to model Luisana Lopilato since 2011, the 41-year-old added it would be ‘crazy’ to jeopardise his relationship.

He said: ‘Am I crazy? It is a scary thing and there is such intimacy as you are learning together and already falling in love.’

Previously dancing partners who’ve been hit with cupid’s arrow (or the so-called Strictly curse) have included Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice, Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev, and Ben Cohen and Kristina Rihanoff.

Meanwhile, ITV bosses are said to be trying to convince the Sway singer into appearing on the final of The X Factor.

‘Michael Bublé is probably the biggest-selling male artist around at the moment,’ a source told The Daily Star.

‘He’d be a huge ratings winner for either Strictly or X Factor.

‘He’s performed on both shows numerous times in the past so the fight to sign him up this year has already begun.’

Bublé’s cheeky comments are not far off his admission over the weekend that he’d very much rather avoid a Claudia Winkleman-inspired makeover.

During the taping of Michael Bublé At The BBC, a concert special hosted by Winkleman, he joked the makeup team would give him a look inspired by the Strictly host’s trademark eyeliner.
