Kanye West Launches Vile Attack on Taylor Swift with Shocking Super Bowl 2025 Tweets Amid Anti-Semitic Outburst
Kanye West Launches Vile Attack on Taylor Swift with Shocking Super Bowl 2025 Tweets Amid Anti-Semitic Outburst.
Kanye West stirred up controversy once again during the Super Bowl, using his platform to target Taylor Swift and spew anti-Semitic remarks, before ultimately deactivating his Twitter account. On Sunday, West, 47, claimed he was in a “good space” mentally despite the backlash his tweets received. Many criticized his statements as racist, sexist, tone-deaf, misogynistic, and ignorant.
“It has been very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board,” West said in his final tweet before deactivating his account.
In his rant, West took aim at Swift, tweeting: “IF ITS ABOUT THE CULTURE … WHY ARE WE LETTING TAYLOR SWIFT BE SEEN ON TV SINGING A SONG ABOUT TAKING A BLACK MAN DOWN AND ACCUSING OF THINGS THAT CAN TAKE A BLACK MAN DOWN FOR LIFE.” He appeared to reference Swift’s recent performance at the Grammys, where she danced to Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us.”
West also criticized the Super Bowl Halftime performer, Kendrick Lamar, accusing him of being manipulated by “white people and Jews.” This tirade against Swift and Lamar marked a new chapter in West’s longstanding feud with the pop star, which began in 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards when West infamously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech.
Years later, the animosity flared up again after the release of West’s 2016 song “Famous,” where he claimed that Swift had agreed to be referred to as a “B****” in the lyrics. Swift denied such an agreement, leading to a highly publicized dispute that was further fueled by West’s then-wife, Kim Kardashian, who called Swift a “snake” on social media.
Despite the ongoing conflict, West continued his controversial remarks during the Super Bowl, including a video where he claimed to be in good mental health. “I know you’re all thinking I’m going something through right now and I’ve got bags under my eyes and s***,” he said in the video. “But I’m just telling you calmly that I am in a good space – I’m really in a positive space, it’s cathartic.”
West’s tweets also attracted attention from his social media platform, as X/Twitter issued a warning on his account for posting “potentially sensitive content.” West responded sarcastically to the warning, joking about the censorship and urging X/Twitter owner Elon Musk not to cancel his account.
While West’s tirades against celebrities, races, religions, and other groups have caused an uproar, he expressed no remorse for his actions. “I got my ideas out; that’s all that happened, and that was very freeing for me,” West said.
At the same time, West indicated he was facing issues with Twitter’s reach, claiming that his account was being shadow-banned to suppress his visibility during the Super Bowl. “MY TWITTER REACH HAS BEEN LIMITED SO I AM NOT ALLOWED TO TREND DOING SUPER BOWL,” he tweeted.
In his final tweet before deactivating his account, West thanked his followers, saying it had been “very cathartic to use the world as a sounding board.” He likened the experience to an “Ayahuasca trip” and offered a parting message: “Love all of you who gave me your energy and attention. To we connect again. Good afternoon and goodnight.”
Milo Yiannopoulos, who represents West and his partner Bianca Censori, confirmed that West had deactivated his account. Yiannopoulos clarified that West’s decision to leave was voluntary, saying, “Ye has deactivated his X account for the time being.”
Before deactivating, West had also shared a video where he expressed concern for rapper Kodak Black, who had been spotted wearing a Donda chain from West’s Yeezy fashion line. He said the sight of Black wearing the chain was a sign that he needed to fly to Florida to help the artist.
West seemed to hint at his escalating conflict with Musk when he replied to a user who had compared the Tesla founder to a Nazi.
West’s Sunday tweets also included remarks about other celebrities, including Travis Scott, R. Kelly, and Sean “Diddy” Combs, continuing his unfiltered, controversial commentary on social media.
As of now, West remains on indefinite hiatus from Twitter, leaving the platform after a flurry of shocking and inflammatory statements.
West posted on Sunday evening announced that he was ‘logging out of Twitter’
