A$AP Rocky’s accuser, A$AP Relli, breaks silence after rapper is found not guilty in gun assault trial
A$AP Rocky leaps into courtroom benches after being found not guilty in assault trial
A$AP Relli, who testified against A$AP Rocky in court, has broken his silence after the rapper was found not guilty of two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, faced up to 24 years in prison if convicted of the assault stemming from an alleged 2021 altercation with his former pal.
Two days after a jury reached their verdict following the nearly four-week trial, Relli — whose real name is Terell Ephron — spoke out on social media.

“Gossiping is a form of entertainment for people who have no meaningful goals or purpose in life,” Relli wrote on his Instagram Story Thursday. “Hate me, bring shame to my name, say bad things about me, I don’t care.”
“Your existence doesn’t add any value in my life,” Relli added alongside a praying emoji.
Relli and Rocky once boasted a close friendship when they belonged to the A$AP Mob — a hip-hop collective formed in 2006 in Harlem.

The group consists of NYC-based rappers and creatives, each of whom bo boast the A$AP moniker. Other famous members include rapper A$AP Ferg and A$AP Yams, who was found dead at the age of 26 in 2015.
Rocky was accused of firing a handgun and wounding Relli during an argument in the Hollywood area on November 6, 2021, Los Angeles police said.
Relli’s statement comes just days after Rocky’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, spoke out about their major legal victory.

Speaking in court during his closing argument, Tacopina eviscerated Relli, calling him “an angry pathological liar” who “committed perjury again and again and again and again.”
Rocky, for his part, praised his legal team and thanked jurors for “saving his life” as they left the courtroom.
“This whole experience has been crazy for the past 4 years,” Rocky told reporters moments after the verdict was read aloud. “I’m thankful and it’s blessed to be here right now to be a free man talking to y’all.”
Rocky’s girlfriend and 9-time Grammy winner Rihanna — who shares sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 1, with the rapper — rushed to social media to celebrate the trial’s outcome.
After the verdict, Rocky praised his legal team and thanked jurors for “saving his life” as they left the courtroom.
