Khloé Kardashian had an out-of-this-world experience — and her kids got to share it with her without her even knowing.

In an interview with PEOPLE tied to the launch of Khloud Protein Popcorn, Kardashian, 40, spoke about attending the launch of the Blue Origin flight NS-31, which made headlines with its all-female flight crew on April 14.

“I don’t think I understood the magnitude of everything until I was actually there,” she recalled of the flight that included passengers Katy Perry and journalist Gayle King. “I had chills watching it. I didn’t expect myself to have that strong of an emotion, and it was just such a cool, fascinating thing to see. And then for it to be the first all-female group of astronauts that did that, it was just a beautiful thing.”

But while the mother of True, 7, and Tatum, 2, had her head held high to the clouds, her children were adorably watching on with her — without her knowing.

“I do wish I [had] brought my daughter. I didn’t think that through,” Kardashian told PEOPLE. “But the really crazy thing is, I did carpool drop off [the day after the launch], and all the kids ran up to me, and they were like, ‘How was the rocket launch?’ And I didn’t understand what was going on, because I’m like, ‘What the hell? Why did they know? How do they know it was there?’

“I didn’t realize that they were streaming it at my kids’ school and watching it,” the Good American founder laughed. “And it was so cool, and it made me so proud that I got to be there and see something like that in history. There’s only so many chances in life that you’re going to have something that’s going to be something that goes down in the history books. And I feel really special that I got to be there for that.”

And though the reality star did feel emotionally connected to the experience, she’s fine being a spectator for the foreseeable future.

“I’m not sure I would ever go. I barely do anything if I think there’s a risk because I have to be here for my kids,” she said. “It’s not on my list, but I love being there and being a witness to it.”

Kardashian shares both of her children with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, whom she dated on and off since 2016 before ultimately calling it off in 2021.

The Good American co-founder told PEOPLE that having more children wouldn’t be completely out of the question for her, but she probably wouldn’t do it again unless she was married.

“I’ve learned to never say never. I don’t know. I think if I’m married and have a husband, then I would be open [to] it,” Kardashian explained. “I feel very full and complete where we are, but if I get married, and that’s, you know, something that we talk about, then, sure.”
