Khloé Kardashian is sharing how she helps her daughter and her nieces deal with jealousy.

On the Monday, May 5 episode of Jay Shetty’s On Purpose podcast, the Good American co-founder, 40, spoke with Jay Shetty about how she deals with comparison and shared that even her daughter True, 7, falls victim to jealousy when it comes to her cousins.

“Number one, it’s something I had to learn myself is comparison is the thief of joy,” Kardashian began. “It takes everything out of anything that you’re doing if you’re constantly comparing what you’re doing to somebody else, because somebody else is only showing you their highlight reel anyway.”

The mom of two went on to say that as a society, we’re now conditioned to want more and more, which makes her sad for her kids.

“But we’re so conditioned now to constantly want more and more and never be satisfied. That makes me sad for my kids,” she said. “And I always try, I have so many nieces and nephews and three of them are the exact same age. It’s my daughter and Kylie’s daughter and Kim’s daughter.”

“And sometimes that’s challenging because they each want the same thing all the time. And I sort of like that, ‘cause I like to say, just ’cause someone has that doesn’t mean you get to have that,” Kardashian continued. “And those are smaller lessons, but you learn that later in life, so much bigger.”

The reality TV star went on to say that it’s on the person to decide whether or not they want to lean into the jealousy or choose instead to be motivated by others.

“And you can be inspired by others or motivated by others,” she said. “But the jealousy or the comparison is something that we – or I have even — had to retrain my brain to not always look at someone and be like, ‘Well, why don’t I have that? Or how can I get like it?’ You should be more from a motivational way as opposed to an envious way.”

Kardashian has shared in the past that True and her cousins Stormi and Chicago, as well as cousin Dream, 8, are all quite close.

Back in 2021, the proud mom said that her daughter True is so close to her cousins, she used to think that they were all siblings.

“It’s amazing. I just pray it never stops. They all think they’re, like, weirdly brother and sisters,” Kardashian told E! News, adding of sister Kim Kardashian’s son Psalm, “I think True thinks, we call Psalm ‘baby Psalm,’ so she’s always like, ‘My brother!’ And I just don’t correct her because I think it’s so cute.”
