Kylie Jenner suffered an awkward moment when her boyfriend Timothee Chalamet missed a kiss from her at the David Di Donatello Awards in Italy.

The influencer, 27, and her actor beau, 29, made their red carpet debut together at the ceremony where Timothee was honoured with the David Speciale award which acknowledges a ‘great actor of quality and innovative films’.

When Timothee’s name was announced on stage, he shared a kiss with Kylie but then missed her when she went in for a second kiss.

The actor shook hands with other attendees sat behind him before heading on stage to accept his award.

The moment was shared on TikTok with fans quickly spotting the awkward exchange.

They wrote: ‘Awkward double kiss’… ‘Hahaha she wanted more’… ‘Someone was talking to Timothee at back, he didn’t noitce the second kiss.’

‘Her going for a second kiss and not getting it’… ‘He didn’t care about the second kiss, awkward at this moment.’

It’s not the first time Kylie and Timothee have been caught in an awkward smooch.

In March, the pair had a ‘painful’ exchange at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament in Indian Wells, California.

Forensic lipreader Jeremy Freeman has exclusively uncovered the couple’s conversation for DailyMail.com –  with the Call Me By Your Name star focused on the match between Holger Rune of Denmark and France ‘s Ugo Humbert, rather than his girlfriend’s request for a loved-up photo.

Freeman says Kylie requested a kissing snap with Timothee, who complied, but the actor then told his partner: ‘Wait a minute, love’ with his eyes focused on the court.

As Kylie gripped his face with her hands and kissed a seemingly unimpressed Timothee – who kept his eyes open and on the match – she allegedly gave the command: ‘Eye contact!’ to which the actor responded: ‘Go on’ adding ‘yum, yep.’

Sitting back in his chair afterwards, Timothee grimaced and loudly exclaimed: ‘Ow!’ with a laughing Kylie responding: ‘Are you ok? ‘

As she began stroking his stomach repeatedly, Timothee said:  ‘No problem, I’m good, don’t worry about it.’

Discussion then turned to the game as Timothee, who was still being caressed by Kylie, told her: ‘Watch the point, watch the point.’

Timothee was then seen shouting ‘atta Ugo’ in support of the player, before standing up and calling out:  ‘No, no, how can you miss that!’

He added: ‘That was a bad miss, that was a bad miss’ as a subdued Kylie snapped a pic of the court.

Fans had called out the longtime couple’s exchange on social media, with one writing: ‘him not kissing her back and her kissing him w her eyes open is making me cringe.

Others wrote: ‘This is me kissing my cat.

‘But this also comes across a bit yikes because he is clearly into the match and not her in that moment so she looks a bit performative. But I say in that moment because who knows how he was otherwise. Moments in time don’t a story tell.

‘I’m having second hand embarrassment watching this.

The couple have lately been beset by parasocial fans on social media who have revived talk of the so-called ‘Kardashians curse’.

According to the invented supernatural force, any man who dates one of the Kardashian–Jenner sisters will have some kind of fall from grace during the relationship.

Kim and Khloe Kardashian previously slammed the theory as ‘super sexist’.

Although Timothée did end up losing to Adrien Brody in the Best Actor category at last week’s Oscars, he was not deemed the frontrunner in the category.
