The View” host Alyssa Farah Griffin appears to be turning her back on Washington, D.C., once and for all, just over four years after she sensationally quit her job as Donald Trump’s White House communications director.

Griffin, 35, has put her Georgetown townhouse on the market for $1.59 million—having purchased the two-bedroom, two-bathroom property less than one month before she stepped down from her role in Trump’s first administration.

The elegant dwelling served as the TV host’s main residence for less than two years before she and her husband, Justin Griffin, relocated to New York City so she could take up a hosting job on “The View,” joining the likes of Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar on the hit ABC talk show.

Since then, the couple—who wed in 2021—have moved yet again, this time to a suburban mansion in Bronxville, which Realtor.com exclusively revealed she purchased in July 2024 for $3.52 million.

And now it seems they are set on life in the New York suburb, so much so that they are ready to part ways with their D.C. home, which they bought for $1.38 million in November 2020, carrying out the deal via the same LLC through which they purchased their Bronxville abode.

In its listing, the property is described as a “quintessential Georgetown home” that is “nestled among the most charming townhouses in the East Village.”

The description also notes that Griffin and her husband made several updates to the dwelling during their ownership, including relining the chimney and “refreshing” the kitchen, as well as installing a new lighting system that “enhances the home’s warm and inviting ambience.”

Adding to that inviting ambience is a wood-burning fireplace in the “cozy dining room,” as well as an eat-in kitchen that opens up to a private patio, which is described as an “oasis for relaxation or entertaining.”

Though elegant, the 1,500-square-foot space certainly can’t hold a candle to the expansive abode that the Griffins now reside in just outside New York City.

Located in Bronxville Village, about 15 miles from midtown Manhattan, the four-bedroom, four-bathroom, 1924-era architectural offers 4,000 square feet. The home blends “classic charm and contemporary sophistication,” the listing notes, with elements such as graceful archways, a sunken living room with a gas fireplace, along with modern comforts.

Highlights include a chef’s kitchen that connects to a breakfast area and family room, a dining room, an office space, a wine room, and a primary suite with a spa-worthy bath, and dual closets.

The lower level has a media room. Outside, the property perks include an “enchanting” English garden, a stone terrace, and mature plantings.

Another benefit of the location is its close proximity to the village center, schools, and train station, the listing noted.

The couple revealed in September that they were quitting city life—news that Griffin announced in an Instagram post that showed the two of them posing together on the terrace of their Manhattan apartment.

In the caption, “The View” host looked back fondly on the two years they had spent in the space, recalling how quickly they had to move into it when she learned she’d landed her on-air job.

“These kiddos are bound for the Burbs! I got a call in July of 2022 from [executive producer Brian Teta] that I’d been named co-host of @theviewabc. My amazing husband agreed to pack up our lives in DC & move to NYC with one month’s notice!” she wrote.

“2+ years later we’re headed to our forever home in the NYC suburbs. Thanks for the memories, Upper East Side!”

Teta, a longtime producer on the ABC show, commented on Alyssa’s post—joking that her new address would not be recognized as an excuse for tardiness on-set.

“Congratulations! You still have to be on time for the hot topic meeting though,” he wrote alongside a smiley face emoji.

Griffin further elaborated on the move during an episode of “The View” podcast, “Behind the Table,” revealing that she and Justin ended up relocating to the suburbs on the very same day that President Joe Biden appeared on the show—making it a hectic experience to say the least.

“I’m officially in the burbs! We had our movers there until 8:30 last night, so literally my day was morning, rush here, get here early, interview the President of the United States, you know get all the feedback that we were while physically moving into my new house,” she recalled.

“I’m so excited. I’m so happy,” she said, adding that her husband took on the heavy lifting because she was working.

“He managed 99% of the moving because I had to be here,” she went on. “And he was like, ‘This is a huge day, you have the president. Just focus, don’t rush home.’”

Alyssa jokingly added that the couple’s adorable dog, Herbie, is enjoying his zoomies in the new space.

It’s thought that the couple held onto the apartment, even after moving to Bronxville, with property records indicating that, while it was put on the market in September 2024 for just under $4 million, the listing was removed in December of that same year.

It is unclear what has prompted Griffin to cut ties with her D.C. home; however, she has made no secret of her criticism of Trump’s policies in the years since leaving his administration.

In July 2024, during an appearance on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live,” she opened up about the wildest requests Trump had made during her time working in his White House, including asking disgraced rapper Kanye West to do a church service at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in a bid to “unify the country.”

“I can think of few things less unifying than that,” she admitted. “We were like, ‘Not the time or place, sir.’”

After Trump’s debate against then-President Joe Biden in June 2024, Griffin then described her former boss as a “mess,” claiming that he “lied his way through it.”
