Jennifer Lopez‘s life has changed dramatically in the past nine months. Her marriage to fellow acting star Ben Affleck dissolved amid the release of the Affleck-produced sports biopic “Unstoppable” (in which she stars) and the premiere of “Kiss of the Spider Woman“, Lopez‘s first-ever movie musical.

While Lopez has been linked romantically to Kevin Costner in recent weeks, the 55-year-old doesn’t have love on the brain right now as she scales new terrain professionally. As she continues to process the disintegration of her “dream marriage” to Affleck, Lopez is finding daring new ways to express herself in a public forum.

Lopez sighted sans makeup

During a Valentine’s Day outing, Lopez was spotted riding in a car in Santa Monica, California with no makeup on — and in full sight of paparazzi cameras. It was a bold move from Lopez, whose fashion choices have literally broken the Internet before.

Lopez recently courted controversy for her support of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, preferring the former vice president to a second Donald Trump term; Trump‘s victory thrust Lopez into an unwelcome spotlight and fierce criticism from conservative commentator Megyn Kelly.

But Lopez has been able to rely on her decades in the limelight to move past the backlash gracefully; she stunned as a presenter at the 67th Grammy Awards and has agreed to join the cast of the upcoming Netflix romantic comedy “Office Romance“.
