Kelsea Ballerini is making a habit of stopping mid-concert, and to her credit each pause seems to be for a good cause.

Recently, she stopped to encourage a young male fan who was holding up a sign telling her he was bullied at school for liking her music, and during another recent show she stopped to take up for her man.

Well, her ex-man.

Per Taste of Country, which is one of the best country music sites in the business, Ballerini was performing in Florida when it all went down. She was reportedly singing “Penthouse,” which is of an album that “deals directly with her 2022 split” from ex-husband Morgan Evans, per Taste of Country.

As she was singing, fans began to chant “(Expletive) you Morgan.”

Now, granted, they simply thought they were taking up for Ballerini, but she made it clear she didn’t want ill will directed toward her ex because she stopped mid-song.

“Guys, you have to stop saying that,” she said shaking her head. “Seriously. We are three years past it. Everything is fine now. I sing this song for you now. It’s not about me anymore. Please. Please.

“Alright, for everyone that is moving forward with their life, will you sing this with me?”

She then began singing again and the fans joined back in. No more ill will toward Morgan was expressed, which he surely appreciates at this point.

Taste of Country said Evans and Ballerini were married for five years. The site said Ballerini currently dates Chase Stokes, an actor on the show “Outer Banks.”
