Throughout his incredible career, he’s amassed a massive fanbase, showcasing his exceptional talent on the court. However, he’s had his share of critics along the way. Recently, Jamie Foxx stepped up to defend LeBron with some powerful comments targeting those who throw shade his way.
Recently, there’s been some buzz on Instagram around LeBron James. A fan page called lbjhistory dropped a powerful post tackling all the flak that James regularly faces.
It boldly stated, “LeBron could walk on water, and they would say it’s because he couldn’t swim. Who would want to be the face of the NBA when this is how they did Bron? I’m so happy Bron is finally clapping back at those talking heads in the media.” In the comments, Foxx chimed in with a heated take, criticizing the haters and passionately backing LeBron.
“If he came up with a cure for cancer, they would say yeah but what about diabetes?” Foxx wrote in the comment section.
He also pointed out that James has been a powerhouse in the NBA for an incredible 20 years. Foxx remarked, “40,000 points over 20 years of play carrying this b*m-a*s league on his shoulders, ungrateful.”
LeBron James Reflects On His Face Of The NBA Comment
The discussion about who should be the “Face of the NBA” has sparked significant interest in the basketball community. Recently, Anthony Edwards publicly declined the opportunity to take on this prominent role. Additionally, LeBron James has shared his thoughts on this ongoing debate. He suggested that the lack of emerging talent willing to represent the league is a result of the current landscape of NBA media. In a recent interview with Van Pelt following a game, James reiterated his thoughts on this issue.
“What matters to me when it comes to my generation and the younger generation that’s in our league now is that we play it for the love of the game. And We’re not out here cheating the game. We’re putting the grind in. We’re putting the time in.” James said.
James has generated considerable reactions regarding his remarks about the face of the league. Notably, amid this situation, he continues to demonstrate impressive efforts on the court. The Lakers presently occupy the third position in the Western Conference standings, boasting a record of 37 wins and 21 losses.
