Stellantis Heritage has just launched the 4C Collezione GT “Nicola Larini” collection after the unique 4C Unica collection. This set of three special models is inspired by the racing world and is decorated with the signature of the DTM champion. This is a rare opportunity for Alfa Romeo 4C enthusiasts to own this unique sports car, which is currently discontinued.
Like the other “Reloaded by Creators” editions, these cars are not new cars off the production line, but are based on pre-existing Alfa Romeo 4Cs. As the name suggests, they are built as a tribute to Nicola Larini, who won the DTM championship in 1993 driving an Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI. Larini himself played a key role in the design of the cars, working closely with the Alfa Romeo Centro Stile and Stellantis Heritage teams to create the cars with a distinctive overall look.
According to the design, these three cars have three separate paint colors including Pine Green, Plum Red and Earth Yellow, reminiscent of the classic tones of the Giulia GT model of the 1970s. According to Alfa Romeo design project director Alessandro Maccolini, who first designed the 4C, these tones have been modified to better suit the design of the Alfa Romeo 4C.
Additionally, all three cars feature white front and rear bumpers with Alfa Romeo emblems on the hood. The wheels are finished in the same color as the body, with Larini’s signature on the hood and dashboard. In Larini’s opinion, the interior is upholstered in black microfiber with color accents that echo the racing-inspired exterior paint.
In terms of performance, the sports car retains its original carbon fiber monocoque chassis and 1.75-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of producing 237 horsepower. Alfa Romeo’s mid-engine sports car remained in production from 2013 to 2020 before being discontinued without a successor.
Nicola Larini expressed his admiration for the Alfa Romeo 4C, stating: “I have never driven a car that is so easy to handle at high speeds. I think the 4C will forever be in the hearts of car enthusiasts and especially the new owners of my new collection. I hope they will have the ultimate sports car driving experience.”
The three Alfa Romeo 4C Collezione GT “Nicola Larini” cars can be ordered for an undisclosed price, aimed at collectors who love unique limited editions. Each model will be “produced, certified and sold directly by the Stellantis Heritage department”, adding to the exclusivity of this rare edition.
The Alfa Romeo Spider is a convertible version of the Brera that was also sold in Vietnam, and the fact that Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu just bought it proves that this tycoon is actively hunting for unique car models in the Vietnamese market.
In 2008, 3 Alfa Romeo cars including 159 sedan, 2-door coupe GT and soft-top Spider were brought to the country by an import company, quickly receiving special attention from domestic car enthusiasts. Of which, all attention was focused on the Alfa Romeo Spider.
Four years ago, the Alfa Romeo Spider convertible sports car appeared on the market, with a price of 900 million VND.
Price only for “players”, 6-speed manual transmission
It is not clear yet how much this Alfa Romeo Spider convertible sports car was priced at in the transfer to “Qua” Vu’s fleet, but it is possible that the selling price will be 1.18 billion VND, or higher, if the seller is a specialist in buying unique items and reselling them to wealthy tycoons.
The Alfa Romeo Spider sports car that Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu just bought is the convertible version of the Brera that was also sold in Vietnam. Both models were officially imported in the period 2008 – 2010, while there were a few Brera cars on the road, there was almost only one Spider model.
When sharing about the Alfa Romeo Spider convertible sports car, the person who recently sold the car to “Qua” Vu revealed that the car had run 31,314 km, and was often stored in storage with dozens of other unique sports cars and sedans. It can be said that this Alfa Romeo Spider has been covered with a tarpaulin for the past 2 years.
The New Spider (codenamed 939) was introduced at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, where it also won the “Convertible of the Year” award. The Alfa Romeo Spider is based on the Brera coupe, with seating for two passengers instead of the four in the coupe.
Initially, Alfa Romeo offered two engines: the 2.2 L inline JTS and the 3.2 L V6 – the JTD common rail turbodiesel was introduced at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. This car replaced the GTV Spider introduced in 1995.
The 939 Spider can be considered the 6th generation of Alfa Romeo Spiders, the first version was launched in 1966. Production ended in November 2010. While Alfa Romeo sold 21,786 Breras, only 12,488 Spiders were produced.
Alfa Romeo Spider has dimensions including length 4,393 mm, width 1,830 mm and height 1,402 mm, wheelbase length reaches 2,528 mm. Alfa Romeo Spider is equipped with 18-inch rims with 5-spoke sporty design.
Inside, the Alfa Romeo Spider comes standard with leather seats with electric adjustment and lumbar support. There’s a 6-disc CD player entertainment system with a 5-speaker Bose sound system, and a start/stop button.
Powering the Alfa Romeo Spider is a 2.2L, 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum capacity of 185 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 230 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The car’s special feature is the combination with a 6-speed manual transmission, helping the car accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 217 km/h.
