After Lopez and Costner briefly crossed paths during a winter getaway in Aspen, Colorado, some sources began to romantically link the two actors. However, with limited information on this alleged relationship, many are wondering if this is more than just a rumor.

Are Jennifer Lopez & Kevin Costner Dating?

Costner and Lopez are not officially dating and neither have addressed rumors about their relationship. The pair were romantically linked after they were spotted together on December 27 in celebrity hotspot Kemo Sabe in Aspen, Colorado.

In photos from the night, obtained by Page Six, Lopez and Costner do appear to be standing with the same group enjoying a drink but they were not actually photographed together.

Sources quickly began to speculate about their interaction, including a source who told Life and Style Magazine on Jan. 15 that both Costner and Lopez’s pals are into their potential romance. “Timing is everything, so there’s certainly a chance these two could make a go of it. Plus, pals on both sides think that J. Lo and Kevin would make a super fun match,” they said.

On Jan. 17, a source told People that Costner is single. “He is not seriously involved with anyone and not necessarily looking for anything more than that right now,” the source revealed.

Lopez became single again in 2024 after a two-year marriage to Ben Affleck. As for Costner, he and Christine Baumgartner were together for nearly 20 years until they divorced in 2023.

Eagle-eyed fans did notice that Lopez’s ex, Affleck, once revealed that the actress is a big fan of Costner’s hit show Yellowstone.

During a 2023 appearance on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Affleck said that his then-wife is “drawn to the romance between” the characters played by Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly.

“Jen showed me a clip off of Instagram of a monologue [Reilly] has in the car with the kid about the ways to become rich,” said Affleck. “And then [Jen] was like, ‘I love this story of these two.’”

“I was like, ‘Wait a minute — with Cole Hauser? What do you love about it?’” he added. “I’m kind of disturbed by the fact that my wife really likes Yellowstone.” Well… maybe her love for the show extends to another actor from the series?
