Ben Affleck relaxes with the vice that Jennifer Lopez hated the most after a few difficult weeks

Ben Affleck was spotted taking a leisurely nature walk Saturday morning in Los Angeles. The Oscar-winning actor and director strolled through the crisp air with a cigarette in hand, accompanied by his recently adopted German shepherd guard dog.

Affleck sported a light brown button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a casual look completed by a white T-shirt peeking through at the collar.

The morning outing comes amidst reports of Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, who wasn’t fan of Affleck’s smoking habit, exploring new real estate options in Brentwood, the upscale neighborhood where Affleck himself resides.

Jennifer Lopez’s real estate hunt

According to TMZ, Lopez recently toured a $20 million mansion in the area. During their two-year marriage, Lopez and Affleck purchased a lavish estate currently listed for $61 million.

However, the property has yet to attract a serious buyer, potentially offering an option for affluent buyers, especially those impacted by the devastating Palisades fire.

The fire, which has scorched over 23,400 acres, was reported to be 81 percent contained as of Saturday morning. Evacuees are expected to return to their homes by Tuesday, per the Los Angeles Times.

The Pacific Palisades home of Affleck’s former wife, Jennifer Garner, and their three children was fortunately spared by the flames.

Affleck’s Hollywood comeback

Ben Affleck is gearing up for the release of The Accountant 2, reprising his role as Christian Wolff, a hitman with a knack for numbers. Amazon MGM Studios released a first look at the film earlier this week, and fans can anticipate its theatrical debut in April.

The sequel sees Wolff emerge from hiding to assist Treasury Agent Marybeth Medina, played by Cynthia Addai-Robinson, after a close associate is murdered. The investigation leads Wolff to reconnect with his estranged yet deadly brother, Brax, portrayed by Jon Bernthal. JK Simmons also returns as the Treasury Department’s financial crimes bureau director.

The highly anticipated thriller will premiere at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, on March 8. Both Affleck and his longtime collaborator and friend Matt Damon serve as producers on the project.
